Any "harm" they commit should be accidental or well-intentioned unless you fuck up in an obvious way. The implication that things might go violent if you betray her indicates her loyalty and devotion towards you while also showcasing her insanity.
There needs to be push and pull with yanderes. They need to be submissive to their desires to you while also willing to take control in an instant if they feel that their love for you is in danger. A yandere's willingness to turn psycho on others who threaten her love for you is an indication of true love.
