if you think about it, it's a fucking crime that gura and mori weren't living in the same country together.
they unironically have the best chemistry of any two people in hololive. similar young age, both american, both had similar backgrounds, both have similar interests, talents, and enjoyment in life.
similarly, both have had a rough past, having to deal with hardship and to cope with it using alcohol.
not to mention that gura is clearly, sexually interested in mori. and it isn't far-fetched to say that mori wouldn't be interested in reciprocating that romance, since gura resembles an asian manlet in height and frame.
anyway, it's actually somewhat depressing that gura had to settle for ame and mori had to settle for kiara. in a perfect world, gura would be in kiara's place, living in japan. because let's be honest, gura would make a much closer friend than kiara could.
gura and mori could meet up every week, play games, talk about stupid shit, watch movies together, and they may even have moved in together since they're so similar. kiara could do none of that. mori will always see kiara as the awkward "obsessive" friend that she is, and someone that she can't relate with.
amelia is basically mori but without the chemistry. sure, she has a lot in similarity with gura. but she has no chemistry whatsoever with any EN member because her personality is really flat in social situations. gura doesn't find ame interesting and enjoyable to be around at all, whereas she thrives with mori. that's why gura never flirts or banters with ame nearly as much as she does with mori.
unfortunately, gura and mori are being bottlenecked by timezones. if mori and ame switched places, we'd probably have at least 20 calligura collabs by now. i mean, logically, mori isn't afraid of "yuri shipping", and gura would buy into it even more.
in fact, i'd go as far as to argue that gura and mori could become a romantic couple. the evidence stands:
>gura fetishizes mori the most out of any EN member, remember her nurse outfit for mori and staring at mori's booba in the debut collab stream?
>gura is always in mori's chat and vise versa. you rarely see gura in ame's chat and it's even more rare to see mori in kiara's chat. mori actually enjoys watching gura, not kiara.
>gura always gets flustered next to mori and has her song stuck in her hand and said "I love you" to her during the 2m karaoke stream
clearly the potential is there for some magic to happen. it's just said that they have to wait until the 3D collabs before they can off-collab and sleep together and realize their true feelings for each other.
