Eerie feeling for me. /w/ is so dead nowadays and this thread is 4 years old, I've seen the artist's works here and there in different places but only just realized he had died in an accident. Not my "type" and I never collected his stuff but there's no denying he was a talented guy
And then to find one of his works was on >>2265022, a vtuber who was "immortal" but retired in 2019. A ghost character within a ghost's art so to speak. idk if this makes sense I have a few drinks in me but it's oddly comforting to think that while the artist is dead, a part of him will live eternal across his works in various pockets of the internet and across the world. I wonder if he ever imagined that 4 years after his death a few gaijin on a 2ch knockoff website would be appreciating his work

And a shit ton of new characters I could give less of a fuck to even try remembering. Nemoto was the only new friend that made sense. They were both into the same types of hobbies and kind of quirky, but they also made her overly freaky for Tomoko like her other friends.

I stopped reading when there was no more English translated works and don't plan on reading anymore.

Now modern Watamote fans are trans, gay, or still coping like Nintendo fans.

What's sad is this is exactly what the author wanted to avoid. If you watched the OVA, you would know he didn't want his story to become yuri harem slop; called those fans "tards"... which means the duo currently hate their own fans.

The deadlines caught up and they probably stopped giving a fuck and turned their masterpiece into slop to keep paying the bills.

I do not know if it would be good for manga, but I would like to see more of orignal trio (MokoKomiYuu) instead of this yuri bullshit. I really liked their type of friendship and synergy, it was a REALISTIC friendship. and it was pretty funny too, judging from Tomomote and early volumes of Watamote
