I don't mean that in some yuppie neo-pagan "auras and frequencies" way, just in the sense that it's harder and harder to find any place where we can find truly transformative experiences, because our everyday existence is so banal and everywhere people go to get away from their banal existence is a manufactured tourist trap. There's no interest in spiritual betterment any more.
I don't know if this is the right way to go about it, but I've always believed in leading by example, so I just try to be conscientious and respect sacred space, and hope the people around me will do the same. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but I haven't found a better way so far.
