Where do you think this image is set in?

At first I thought it was Japan. Shinsekai in Osaka, to be specific. The tower doesn't quite match with Tsutenkaku tower, and the characters look more like Chinese ones rather than Japanese.

Nah, that's Japanese dude, some of the smaller signs have katakana and hiragana on them. Can't help you narrow down the location any further though.

I have 1600+ wallpapers and probably 1/4th of them are cute 2D girls. In that wallpaper however I prefer the landscape and scenery over the anime girl slapped in there. My mind isn't as simple as yours so as to see a 2D girl on a wallpaper and immediately decide it's good.
