I'm looking for a very specific type of feeling that pictures like this give me. Calling it "modern spirituality" just doesn't capture it at all, but it's essentially what it is. I think it's the feeling a lot of these sad image threads are trying to capture. There doesn't even have to be any religious iconography really. There's something that moody cityscapes, the night sky, artificial lighting, lonely shots of people does to me I'll never be able to put into words. Here goes.
