I work at some rocket company and my work is something like 60% meeting with people who ask me to do stuff, 10% doing the stuff and 30% writing boring reports. Last project was some python script to read data in an XML file. Took 2 whole months : half a day of programming and the rest writing emails.
They've done a study at some point, the more employees you get the more they'll waste time on useless shit, that peaks at 30% of your workforce being next to useless
