The entities of the world need work too imo: Why exactly is a PMC entrusted to safeguard the old Overwatch equipment and bases over the UN when PMCs don't usually have the most stellar of reputations? Does the public distrust the UN just as much as Overwatch, or does the UN not want to take the risk of this thought becoming reality if they did it themselves? Why is Oasis allowed to exist when it's intent to exist when it's intent is to advance science regardless of the cost, and one of their MINISTERS is a probably sociopath who sees moral and ethical constraints as something 'those insignificant peasants' worry about? The last time people with this mindset came to any position of power, it took 'the Overwatch of our past', the Allied Nations, to stop it(I'll admit, if Winston's name was chosen to mirror that, it would earn a small amount of Blizz's respect from me, but I give them too much credit already). How did Null Sector get all that Military Hardware into London without anyone noticing? I could go on, but I shouldn't, so I won't.
ALTHOUGH, speaking of Echo and Athena, even though they aren't the same, it does raise the question of how Jesse knows her. He can't have known her from his Deadlocke days, surely, and if she's old OW Tech, why is the US Military responsible for her, when Helix seems to be responsible for all of that? Her logo is sort of similar to the Vishkar one(Which seems to be a running theme), as is her form similar to their tech, but then how do they know each other? And if you ask me she WILL lock them out, but I'm also a pessimist.
While you may be right about Blizz changing nothing, it's the CHANCE they could screw up everything that has me annoyed right now, and given that they've managed to ruin everything else they've made(Excluding SC, I think) by now, it makes me uneasy. I suppose one good thing about all the professional Overwatch crap is that it keeps the team too busy ruining gameplay to look at story, aye?
