Children, behave. These threads are meant for us to have fun and celebrate our favorite characters; not to mope over their intangibility or get bent out of shape with each other over their sexuality.
For my own two cents, I'll concede that it feels a bit superficial for the time being, but I don't see it as a big deal because it's not intrusive, and I think it will eventually lead somewhere more substantial and worthwhile if we're patient. I just appreciate she has someone in her life to be a consistent source of love and comfort, even if it's not me.
Bringing me to my next point, which is that I think we're losing sight of the bigger issue with her: cumulatively, everything she's done has been meaningless. The character whose entire identity is built on trying her hardest to make a difference is currently treading water in a sea of futility and wasted effort, and she hasn't even been extended the basic courtesy of being able to talk about it and work through it. There is a lot of solid potential here, yet no one seems to care and I think we're long due for some earnest growth and development that begets actual meaningful consequences. Truth be told, you could probably say the same thing about most of the characters: "lots of potential, no payoff, please be distracted by this pretty tinsel."
Trust me, no one is more tired of putting up with this bull than I am, but at no point do we have to be a bunch of grumpy babies about it. Instead, maybe we should take a page out of her book and make the best of things by moving on and getting along with each other over what we mutually enjoy. I think all of us can agree that we want what's best for her, so let's find common ground through the hope that the worst is behind her, the best is yet to come, and that no matter how you feel about her orientation, it doesn't change anything that makes her so wonderful.
Now everyone chill and post Hana doing something silly. That's always a nice palette cleanser.
