>>5885504The beginning of this brought a smirk to my face immediately, with the mentions of the other "animal bride" stories, as well as the immediate follow up about the attempts to erase the Cat Empress story (Wonder who could've done that, lol), and the rest of it was so amusing to me, I actually started to tear up, since the mental image of both the story itself and what I imagine Huan and Fu's reaction to reading it were Absolutely hilarious, and so is how I think certain other characters would react to it (Lanfen & Monu in particular)
But besides my own amusement, probably caused by heart demons, once again you managed to capture that authentic folklore feeling in this writing, while also fitting in the established setting, and once again I like the roles familiar faces take in the story (especially some who we haven't seen in awhile, and the surprise appearance of good ol Five colors at the end!) , and how evocative the writing was. You should definitely keep nurturing this talent, since what you write brings joy to my heart, junior.
Can't wait to read the next folk tale you regale us with
