So in case you don’t know, NECA made a Donatello’s Lab from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or TMNT for short. This was a $300!!! made to order set. When they finally started shipping it out, people were getting multiple sets even if they only ordered one. NECA neglected to say anything about this for like a month, until they sent everyone a threatening email that they need to return the set. Their claim is that they were “changing the warehouse system” and it led to duplicated orders. Well, now they’re saying that if you don’t return the set, you will be charged for any additional sets, despite this being a clear violation of FTC laws. What does /toy/ think of this situation? Is NECA in the right? Are people who keep their labs stealing from collectors?

How come Lego only makes sets based on licenses? What happened to all the OC stuff?

This goes for preety mich every toy company. Where are all the original toys and designs? Things like Bakugan, Gormiti or NERF. Nowadays the only original character figures are japanese, therefore super expensive and anime adjacent. Even toys have fallen prey to the mass enshittification of everything. What is going on?
