>>11768821Collecting anything is not ideal, as it can promote coveting and materialism, which lead to much more dangerous sins (eg. look at the Zuckerburgs, Bezos', Elons and Trumps of this world). As long as it doesn't become some sort of compulsion/addiction and doesn't take you away from God or your virtues (ie. its more of just a hobby you engage in occasionally) I think you might be okay.
If you said to the priest "I collect toys" and you are an adult, he might not fully understand the nuance of a fully grown man having hundreds of action figures of scantly clad sexy anime nuns wearing lingerie. He might be gently prompting you (apparently successfully) to consider what you donate most of your time to currently (if that's the case) his job after all, is to shepherd you closer to Christ.
Luke 12:15: "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
1 Timothy 6:9: "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction."
^ rich in this sense is not just money.
Give yourself some time to think about things and don't give up on faith.
Maybe, instead of buying a figurine next time, donate $30 or something to a charity (Cafod is a good one) and see how that makes you feel.
>side-noteI was just making a little joke about the sexy nuns thing though, anon.
Good luck on your journey to Christ and God bless.
