Is there a common toy scale more pointless than 1/10? Compared to 1/12, which has been around as a miniature scale since before mass-produced toys were even a thing, it's just different enough to not really fit alongside but not different enough to actually justify its own existence like 1/18 or 1/6. Genuinely seems like someone started making figures in that scale just to be different and somehow it stuck around. It's not so bad with toys of characters who are already huge anyway (McFarlane's Space Marines fit better with 1/12 than the humans in the rest of the McFarlane 40K line, who are big even by 1/10 standards) but with "regular" humans it gets kinda annoying. Just seems like a completely redundant scale that exists for the sake of existing.

Solaris Japan

Is this site a loophole to paying tariffs? I've never ordered from there before but I was looking at something and saw they mark all items as gifts and anything under $100 will be sent by Japan Post, which is otherwise suspended to the US. Even after de minimis exemption was lifted, gifts under $100 were said to be exempt so…

Has anyone ordered from there recently?

Most system-like toys

Itt we try to figure out which toys stimulate the autistic need for systems.
>lego
Free-for-all system
>model trains
A miniature version of real-life complex transportstion system
>gravitrax and such
Definitely a system of connected elements, lacks a deeper purpose though

I'm looking or a fish man action figure

No.11612081 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I need a fish person. 5-7 inches tall, mostly nude. A scale or fish skin texture across most of the skin is ideal, so the MOTU Mermans I've seen won't work. It should have a menacing, or at least an inhuman mien, so Abe Sapien or Shape of Water with their innocent human faces are no go.

A whale of crab man would work too. And it can be a fishwoman, it doesn't have to be specifically male

I know about Street Sharks but I don't like their weird giant head torso setup. Too cartoony

Any help you guys can give me would be very appreciated!

Mystery box toys

No.11605431 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Are these really so profitable that companies shit out so many of them?

I can't imagine who is buying these. They are extremely overpriced. Have zero play value or lose any play value after the unboxing. 50-90% of it is just packaging. The toys are often literal trash and shouldn't be even worth displaying or collecting. Even the gambling aspect is underwhelming bc the rare ones are still just trash.

They seem very expensive to make but I can't imagine anyone paying so much money to get random trash.
