I like classic cars, so I just started making lots of cars because it was enjoyable, and now I'm not as terrible as I was when I started. I think the key is to find something that you don't mind building over and over. That helps you get over the initial hump and to the point where you're able to think ahead and see the potential of pieces beyond just stacking them directly atop each other.
