Kind of dumb that we have to do that in the first place, to be fair. Just today I went through some old chats from an old bot, and have one that's literally undeleteable as of now because the first 2 messages (greeting & 1 reply) belong to the bot. And from how that reply reads, it's not even my fault ("""fault""") by sending an empty message - it was apparently replying to something I send it. Meaning that chat is stuck because of some stupid bug on their end.
I don't care if they're in beta, alpha or whatever the fuck. There's no fucking excuse for not making bot replies - or entire conversations - undeleteable by now. Dev hate.
