>More shitty useless HMs, yay100% agreed here. HMs are terrible. Gen V and VI managed to tone it down but definitely would've preferred they got removed completely. Thank god it seems like they listened for Gen VII.
>Worst gimmicks out of any genPersonally, I don't care about gimmicks. I usually skip them. I barely touch battle facilities too except for the PWT. If you count the Distortion World, I think that was a neat gimmick. Could've been better but at least it was memorable.

>Worst villainsNah, that's team rocket and flare. Cyrus was one of the more interesting villains.
>Bland waifu trash championNah, Cynthia has the best battle theme, best champion team, and is more prominent in the story than other champions. Plus she has a great design.
>Forgettable gym leaders and side charactersHonestly not any less forgettable than every other gym leader that isn't from Gen V. Only one I decently remember is Volkner and Candice.
