>>55755054I want a guy who enters into a world of trainers who cultivate semi-super powers with sorta abilities, but uses his expertise to outdo others and to deal with poverty and stuff to succeed to eventually become an elite.
Pokeworlds with aura cultivation are a bit much, but The Most Evil trainer seemed to have a decent balance, but maybe a bit not enough for the trainer.
I'm thinking something closer to the anime, but with a cultivation system of aura that isn't so blatant that the average person is like "This guy is a 4th stage of the formation establishment realm!". Like people and pokemon make themselves stronger and trainers are stronger than normal, but pokemon are still the 'skills and weapons' being used.
But is the normal league regular or should I have full out Ash show up? Is he a veteran or sudo-vet after 2-3 leagues now that he's ready to rock?
Being more ambiguous would let normal characters make more sense.
Take Hoenn... How does Ash, someone who was in 2 conferences compete? If he's some aura god then he would wipe the board, unless there's something more to it. Especially with new pokemon.
I actually love Borne of Caution, but also I love Hoenn more, so I wouldn't mind writing about the region... Do I go full cultivation, or soft magic, focus only on how the battles are? It is complex...
