What twatterfags fail to realise that we are not the parents of OLM animators or the staff. I understand that it's difficult but I am their customer in the end not their father like I will not defend them to the death.
The hard fact here is that there was a promised journeys series and masters 8 tournament which they failed to make it good in the end. They fucked up and need to take the consequences like adults do, not whining on the twitter while you superiors doesn't talk about the issue yet.

XY should have been an arc about Ash with his ace being Lucario, and that Lucario being a reincarnation of the one from the movie.
Ash goes through the same Mega discovery arc as in JN but the Mega Stone breaks or is destroyed, but Ash and Lucario then go through the Ash-Grennja arc where, with Clemont's help, they learn to Mega without the stone, Rayquaza-style.
It would end with Lucario overcoming Alain's Charizard in the Kalos League, then proceeding to the Champion League but losing to Diantha after a close battle.
Keep the Diancie movie, but skip the Hoopa one and go straight to Magearna/Volcanion, but the antagonists are Team Flare trying to capture parts of the Mega-Lith, and complete it with the Zygarde cameo. Then make Zygarde the star of the final movie. Also make all 3 movies canon.
Ash wins the Lucario egg in the Decolora Islands. His final team is Pikachu, Lucario-M, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern.
Have Greninja and Lucario fight a lot but become chill by the end of the arc. I can't remember two of Ash's Pokemon ever hating one another and bickering, outside of early tension between Charizard and Bulbasaur/Squirtle. You can even keep the Serena and Clemont subplot as it doesn't interfere with Ash's at all.
There, I now combined XY nd JN's ideas into a much better and well earned Pokemon XY anime.

They already knew that Team Kato struggled to keep up with their current workload if you look back on March, and still demanded that all 4 battles with 3vs3 to be fully animated on a weekly scale with the exception of an 2 week break between JN115 and JN116. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the usual production length of an month for one episode in advance got shafted to 2 weeks at minimum.

SM and PM19 both did, yes. But XY was October and DP/BW were both September.

The problem is The Pokemon Company, and the execs only care about little kids tuning in to watch the anime and then bugging their parents to buy the toys.

Tomioka was already finished with the story composition, which already took their current workload into consideration as well as their details for sketches, but when he submitted it, Producers went "Fuck no, show all the battles". That was the kick to the bucket effectively.

Wasn't the initial plan to only show Ash's battles? If so, what's the excuse for them being shit? Now that I think about it, in the original plan Ash vs Steven might have been a full battle, but when they had to show all the battles they had to make it a 3v3 because making them all would have been nearly impossible given the circumstances.

We digged that shit up and made the greentext edits. Moot just does his usual thing of posting stuff from here, this time we actually worked together for that as an outlet to shine some light on the mess that has been evolving behind the scenes. Maenami, Ohashi and the likes havent' done cuts for Pokemon in ages. OLM relied on these guys before to help with the time consuming high-profile action cuts. Without them the studio is struggling.
