Ash constantly did out of character things deliberately to pander to Serena and nearly all of them had romantic undertones more overt than anything Ash has done in proximity to Misty. It's obvious from the way Rica says his lines to how the scenes are directed that Ash thinks of Serena in a romantic way even if he doesn't fully realize it.

The thing is with Serena and ash, they actually developed a whole story around them in the anime, unlike literally any other girl.
They created a classic childhood flashback with obvious romantic implications, went on board with openly stating Serena crush on ash, and they naturally wrote Serena own arc, supported by Ash who basically changed her life. Plus, serena literally LITERALLY behaved like his wife in the anime, taking care of him multiple times, helping him to get back on track and being worried multiple times like the classic love interest. And i havent even mentioned the kiss at the end.
She wasnt just a random girl that fell in love with ash that the anime treated as a joke. Compare SatoSere deep, meaningful moments and listen to the music. It is never a gag. It is a serious moment to consider.
Other ships are just that, ships. SatoSere is the closest you can have to be canon love interest. Literally built, designed and developed as canon.

If you want to call amour delusional, then whats left for the other shippings? amour at least has a solid base to hang on to, you can at least built a case on it. The rest, nothing.

Are you really thinking the shippers won't spam shit until the very end?

Ironically the only way for the spam to end is if episode 1 has Pokeshipping hints. If that happens, other ships would have to admit defeat and would have to shut up. If Pokeshipping hints do not happen, it's going to be 11 whole episodes of Pokeshippers/Pearlshippers/Amourshippers fighting over each other, even worse if the last episode ends without Ash ending up with anyone. I'm not even a Pokeshipper myself but the power of shipping is strong and you really need a strong defeat to shut them up for good.

Amour was a very one-sided ship, the only thing going for it is that Serena's like of Ash actually was canon unlike the others. Still one-sided though.

In reality, the chances I think are something closer to this:

95% No win
2.5% Misty
1% Serena
2% Every other option combined

I only put Misty at 2% because it really is still worth noting that she's going to be the last companion, and even then Pokeshipping has never been canon in the series, subtext at most. But if anyone wins, as unlikely as it is, Misty makes the most thematic sense since she was the first and a genwunner.
