Among us the thousands and thousands of wall of texts I have the misfortune to reach about idol culture this and male collabs that, there was something that was right in front of me all along. You see, this isn't about unicorns vs "true fans" or whatever. No, you see, all along this was about creator vs. critic. In this case, a creator as made a decision (in Kanata's case, not collab with males) and there are some that disagree with it; the critics.
The main source of the problem with the critics is that they believe that they have some sort of moral imperative to "criticize" this decision not to collab with males. To put it in a different way, this is pretty much the same as writer deciding to put a story in a way that some disagree with.
The "critics" in the idol discourse think that not collabing with "x" group is some sort of moral failing that must be corrected. It cannot just be merely ignored, it must be corrected and confronted, even if doing so will make things worse. This is why you have retards freaking out about Tempus mentions in Fauna's chat, despite the fact that Fauna has repeatedly ignored homobeggars. Creators just want to create and want others to enjoy the creations they want. Critics, in theory should improve the creations of the creators, but the nature of internet has encourage critics to look for fights everywhere and to fight on "behalf" of the creators, no matter what the creators themselves have said.
Perhaps I was too harsh on Monkeyman's decision. The fault lies on the "critics." I understand now.
