I think the problem with Gura's fanbase is that, only watching Gura is viewed as a "good" thing, and that's what eventually turns them into the biggest tribalists on the board. "True chumbud" and "unityfag" are inherently opposed, because "loving Gura" is predicated on the idea that Gura is better than every other holo - hence why chumbuds never support unity.
It seems paradoxical, but the best thing to push unity forward on /vt/ would be to get rid of the chumbuds.
