b) have a friendly local accompany you so you don't get fucked over (including by officials for that matter, there IS lots of corruption and they know that solo non-black tourists are easy game)
c) have some extra money set aside just in case, to smooth your way out of anything
d) bring your meds unironically, they don't have healthcare for shit
There's probably more tips but that's all I can think of atm. Nature in Africa IS fucking gorgeous and many people are very friendly, it's definitely worthwhile as a vacation anon. Though it is an adventure, yes
