>>39933787I can see it being that they want to remain the top brand and protect that image. They see how much EN has reclined and have no faith that new chubas will do anything but split the the core they have now and make other companies and indies look more competitive.
Now you could argue that management have done a poor job helping the girls to make more events and keep them disciplined and organized and thus make a stronger product to pull people in. Though, as some people are speculating as well, they could simply view EN as a side project that they don't believe can get much further even with help/simply focus resources on JP.
Like a lot things it might not be as simple as we like to think and is a varied combination of management, Western perspectives/status quo on vtubing, poor potential talent pool, simple misfortunes in the process, etc.
