>>9552084bro that was WITH insurance
around like 2016/2017 or so my insulin went from ~200 a month to ~2300 a month
i pretty immediately had to look for alternate solutions, one of which was some third party company called prescription hope, which kind of worked, but my endocrinologist's staff was criminally negligent so I just stopped going to him and eventually found out that walmart sells generics that are $20 a bottle (a bottle lasts about a month) so it's now the lowest it's ever been
not all walmarts do it though or people with less generics around them, so it's important that the official stuff gets lower too
>>9552067possibly, getting T1 later in life is incredibly rare but I got it when I was 23 and stick thin, though you're definitely going to notice after a few weeks or a month or so, it's not like T2 diabetes where you've developed a resistance to it, T1 just means you've stopped making any insulin at all so you're fucked if you don't get it treated soonish, before the diagnosis your body can kind of keep up for a little while but even that's pretty dangerous to do for any length of time
