>>7440537I'm only the last 5 posts you quoted. Your understanding of christianity or scripture as "good news" is the reason why the 7th Church mentioned in the revelation is described as by God as lukewarm, "I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (ironically the verse is immediatelly followed by the Revelation verses I quoted in the post above). It describes the feel-good faith of confirmation bias and ego-petting, the pick-and-choose Christianity - in other words, modern Christianity, which is all about "love" (blind acceptance) and completely ignoring The Cross, sin and repentance. There is good news sure, but there is also disobedience, judgement and a very real Hell. The people who would most likely benefit from realizing that (and implicitly hearing about it) are people that don't have much time left in this world.
If someone is dying young of a horrible disease, the last thing they'll be able to feel is peace and joy. The fact that you were not able to realize that yet you made a post that looks to admonish me for my lack of compassion or whatever should tell you something about yourself. You show a basic lack of empathy and you mime compassion. You think that this life is all there is and givng people feel-good confort is the moral thing to do before death. I and many others believe differently. Life is a test with a grueling consequence if failed.
option 1: Make someone feel good by posting empty platitudes that disappear once the bump limit is reached, they die estranged from their Creator, in emnity with God and suffer eternity in hell. But at least they felt at ease before dying right?
option 2: Make use of the fact the period before death is liberating when it comes to prejudices and mental blocks set in place throughout life (i.e believe in God and you'll be ridiculed). Show them the way the truth and the life (Jesus Christ) and they might suffer for a few weeks (would have happened anyway) and they might inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
