I can understand your concern, but remember this: the difference between Jaina and Lena is that Jaina isn't worth millions of dollars in merchandise and lootbox sales (just think about how many skins she has). I know Blizzard has a checkered history, especially with their female heroes, but on a purely pragmatic level, I don't see them letting a character as emblematic of the franchise as her stay in this rut forever, so I'm optimistic. I don't find her cheeriness forced, but I do think it's more heightened in-game; Uprising and others show she can be very thoughtful and serious when she needs to be. Yes, she can be a bubbly little ball of smiles and energy, but she can also be a deeply heartfelt individual passionate enough about her ideals to claw her way from the brink of oblivion in order to uphold them, and that aspect of her just hasn't gotten a chance to shine lately. The OW lore team is also responsible for Rise and Shine, which to me says they actually are capable of handling female characters effectively, so there is hope.
More than anything else, I have to keep hammering this point away: good or bad, we -don't know- what's going to happen. No, we don't know if Hana will just drop everything and enlist, but we also haven't seen her do anything at all. We don't really know what her circumstances are, and anything could happen to change them. Maybe she'll be offered a chance to join after OW finds its footing, like with Balderich and Reinhardt; maybe something disastrous will happen on her watch and she'll feel compelled to join out of penance; or maybe Rafiki will show her a vision in one of his pools and she'll follow it. We can speculate, but at the end of the day, we just don't know and anything could happen, so I think the correct response is to keep an open mind and be hopeful, if only because we'll be waiting either way and being pessimistic will only make you miserable.
