Trump To Introduce $100k Fee For H-1B Visas: Report

MR. PRESIDENT, Donald J. Trump is planning to add a $100,000 application fee for the H-1B visa program, a White House official confirmed to Newsweek Friday.

Trump may sign the proclamation as early as Friday, Bloomberg first reported, citing a White House official.

The major H-1B reform would restrict entry under the work visa unless the hefty payment is made. Current fees to register for the visa lottery are $215, with a $780 fee for a Form I-129—a petition for a non-immigrant worker filed by an employer sponsor.

The work-based visa, popular with tech companies, has come under increasing scrutiny in 2025 against a backdrop of tougher immigration enforcement by the Trump administration and a simmering anti-immigrant sentiment in the U.S.

Trump has been under pressure to act on the H-1B, despite being vocal in his support for the program over the years. The visa, which sees tens of thousands of new and renewed applications each year, has become a focal point for those seeking a more restrictionist approach.

The president is set to sign the proclamation later Friday, Bloomberg first reported, with the main change for the H-1B being a new $100,000 fee. Currently, the fee is around $1,000 for an initial application.

Another change could be to prevailing wage rules, meaning the amount employers must pay immigrant workers. This is an area critics have frequently pointed to, arguing companies hire foreign workers because they can pay them less.

https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2025/09/21/gunfire-near-katy-baseball-fields-injures-coach-during-game-officials-say/

KATY, Texas – Three people have been identified, and charges are pending after a coach was shot in Katy during a baseball game. They are not in custody.

The Waller County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting near the Ameripark youth baseball field located at 4256 F.M. 2855 on Sunday afternoon, and found a 27-year-old coach shot in the shoulder.

According to investigators, three people were shooting from a nearby pasture in the direction of the baseball field while a youth game was taking place.

“I had to legit bear crawl to my mom on my arms,” said 11-year-old Colton Bierman, who plays for the Texas Colts and was at the tournament with his mother, Kelly.

Coaches Alex Smith and Corbin Giesendorf of the Texas Colts helped players and families to safety after the shots rang out.

“It’s hard for me to talk about right now because of their faces. I’ll never forget looking at them,” Smith said.

> ABC pulls ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ off air ‘indefinitely’ over Charlie Kirk comments

> ABC on Wednesday night pulled the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” late-night show off the air “indefinitely” after controversial comments by its host about the slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, and hours after the head of the Federal Communication Commission suggested ABC’s broadcast license was at risk

> Jimmy Kimmel, during his opening monologue for Monday night’s show, had suggested that Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Kirk, was aligned with President Donald Trump’s MAGA — Make America Great Again — movement.

> “The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.

> “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving,” he added.

> ″ ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ will be pre-empted indefinitely,” an ABC spokesman told NBC News on Wednedsday.

> ABC is a subsidiary of Disney

> ABC’s announcement came shortly after Nexstar Media Group said its company-owned and “partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show.”

> Hours earlier, FCC Chair Brendan Carr told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson that Kimmel’s comments were “truly sick,” and that there was a “strong case” for action against ABC and Disney,

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan claimed Tuesday on X that Google, under GOP pressure, had committed to offer "ALL creators" banned from YouTube for "political speech" the opportunity to return to the platform, but he appears to have simply been lying.

"BREAKING: Due to our oversight efforts, GOOGLE commits to offer ALL creators previously kicked off YouTube due to political speech violations to return to the platform," Rep. Jordan announced triumphantly on X.

Despite Jordan's claim, the text of the document written by Google's lawyers only says that they will "provide an opportunity for all creators to rejoin the platform if the Company terminated their channels for repeated violations of COVID-19 and elections integrity policies that are no longer in effect."

That means the plethora of right-wing figures who were banned over the four years following Trump's election (Red Ice, Nick Fuentes, Alex Jones, etc.) are going to remain banned -- just as the Israel Lobby wants.

Fox News Digital on Tuesday asked Google for comment on their new policy change and they responded that they have nothing more to add "besides what was in the document."

Good news everyone! FBI now says Rpstein acted alone. Nothing more to see here.

FBI Director Kash Patel told a U.S. Senate panel on Tuesday there was no credible information that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women and underage girls to anyone but himself, seeking to defuse criticism of the Trump administration's move to end its review of the case.

The Justice Department's July decision not to release additional material enraged many of President Donald Trump's hardline supporters, who expected his administration to reveal connections between Epstein, who died by suicide while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, and other wealthy and powerful people.

"We have released all credible information," Patel said.

Naked corruption: Trump border czar caught accepting bribe.

No.1440120 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/news/tom-homan-cash-contracts-trump-doj-investigation-rcna232568

In an undercover operation last year, the FBI recorded Tom Homan, now the White House border czar, accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents — who were posing as business executives — win government contracts in a second Trump administration, according to multiple people familiar with the probe and internal documents reviewed by MSNBC.

The FBI and the Justice Department planned to wait to see whether Homan would deliver on his alleged promise once he became the nation’s top immigration official. But the case indefinitely stalled soon after Donald Trump became president again in January, according to six sources familiar with the matter. In recent weeks, Trump appointees officially closed the investigation, after FBI Director Kash Patel requested a status update on the case, two of the people said.

It’s unclear what reasons FBI and Justice Department officials gave for shutting down the investigation. But a Trump Justice Department appointee called the case a “deep state” probe in early 2025 and no further investigative steps were taken, the sources say.

On Sept. 20, 2024, with hidden cameras recording the scene at a meeting spot in Texas, Homan accepted $50,000 in bills, according to an internal summary of the case and sources.

Most of the world endorses a 2 state solution, apart from the US and Israel

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/un-overwhelmingly-endorses-two-state-solution-declaration-that-condemns-hamas-2025-09-12/

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The United Nations General Assembly on Friday overwhelmingly voted to endorse a declaration outlining "tangible, timebound, and irreversible steps" towards a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians ahead of a meeting of world leaders.

The seven-page declaration is the result of an international conference at the U.N. in July - hosted by Saudi Arabia and France - on the decades-long conflict. The United States and Israel boycotted the event.

A resolution endorsing the declaration received 142 votes in favor and 10 against, while 12 countries abstained.

The vote comes ahead of a meeting of world leaders on September 22 - on the sidelines of the high-level U.N. General Assembly - where Britain, France, Canada, Australia and Belgium are expected to formally recognize a Palestinian state.

The declaration endorsed by the 193-member General Assembly condemns the attacks against Israel by Palestinian militants Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered the war in Gaza.

It also condemns the attacks by Israel against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza, siege and starvation, "which have resulted in a devastating humanitarian catastrophe and protection crisis."

Cocaine is more popular than ever in the US and the Mexican drug lord Trump has declared war on is cashing in

https://ca.news.yahoo.com/cocaine-more-popular-ever-us-171341163.html?guccounter=1

Cocaine use is now more popular than ever in the U.S., with a major resurgence in recent years allowing the Mexican drug lord largely responsible for the boom to cash in.

Consumption of cocaine in the western U.S. has increased by 154 percent since 2019, according to data from drug-testing company Millennium Health. In the same period, use is up 19 percent on the East Coast.

At the same time, use of the deadly drug fentanyl has been declining ever since mid-2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Trump administration has vowed to crack down hard on cartels, even imposing harsh economic sanctions on Mexico to stymie the flow of fentanyl and other illicit products into the U.S.

A specific target for the administration is the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), which has been assessed to have the highest cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine trafficking capacity in Mexico and is led by Nemesio Rubén ‘El Mencho’ Oseguera Cervantes (United States Drug Enforcement Administration)

A main target has been the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) led by Nemesio Rubén “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, which is believed to have the highest cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine trafficking capacity in Mexico.

Sources familiar with the operations of CJNG told The Wall Street Journal that record amounts of cocaine are currently being produced in Colombia, driving the volume in the U.S. up and the price down.

Morgan Godvin, a researcher with the community organization Drug Checking Los Angeles, told the outlet that pure cocaine prices have “plummeted” to an average of $60 to $75 a gram, a decrease of around half compared with five years ago.
