> Trump says he’s designating Antifa as a terrorist organization

> President Donald Trump said he is designating the far-left anti-fascism movement Antifa as a terrorist organization, announcing the move on his Truth Social platform in the early hours of Thursday morning UK time.

> It wasn’t immediately clear what mechanism Trump would use to make the designation, and Antifa lacks centralized structure or defined leadership, making it unclear who or what precisely would be targeted.

> “I am pleased to inform our many U.S.A. Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION,” Trump wrote. “I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

> A White House official told CNN, “This is just one of many actions the president will take to address left wing organizations that fuel political violence.”

> Trump — who’s overseas for a formal state visit — signaled the move earlier this week in remarks from the Oval Office following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

> A host of administration officials have signaled in the wake of Kirk’s assassination that they’ll be targeting what they claim is a coordinated left-wing effort to incite violence. The moves have drawn protests from some Democrats, who allege Trump is creating a pretext to crack down on dissent or opposing viewpoints.

The U.S. public health system is headed to a “very dangerous place” with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his team of anti-vaccine advisers in charge, fired Centers for Disease Control and Prevention chief Susan Monarez warned senators on Wednesday.

Describing extraordinary turmoil inside the nation’s health agencies, Monarez and former CDC Chief Medical Officer Chief Debra Houry said Kennedy, a longtime vaccine skeptic, and his political advisers repeatedly rebuffed data supporting the safety and efficacy of vaccines.

Monarez’s revelations to senators raised serious questions, even among some Republicans, about Kennedy’s self-professed commitment to employ “gold-standard science” for developing public health guidance, including around the nation’s vaccination schedule. Her testimony was given to the Senate’s health committee just a day before a vaccine panel is set to consider major changes to the routine vaccinations recommended for the nation’s children.

Monarez, who was fired after 29 days into her tenure over vaccine policy disagreements with Kennedy, told senators that deadly infectious diseases like polio could be poised to make a devastating comeback if the health secretary and his team continue their public campaign against routine shots.

“I believe preventable diseases will return, and I believe we will have our children harmed by things they don’t need to be harmed by,” Monarez said before the Senate health committee.

tl;dr some dickhead vandalizes the Charlie Kirk memorial at the Turning Point building in Phoenix before getting thrown to the ground by Kirk supporters and arrested by police. Notice the two in the pic with guns who didn't use them? Can any leftists here say the same would happen if a right-winger did this to a left-wing memorial (if you can even find an example)?

>A man was arrested and charged after he blatantly trampled the growing memorial for Charlie Kirk outside the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix on Sunday.

>Fox News cameras were rolling as the man walked through the memorial, kicking over items including flowers, vases and flags. A mourner gathered at the memorial stepped in to stop the man's sick actions. A man in a blue polo shirt is seen yanking the man out of the memorial and throwing him to the ground.

>Phoenix police identified the alleged vandal as 19-year-old Ryder Corral. In video of Corral's arrest, he appears to be wearing a shirt similar to the one worn by the man suspected of assassinating Kirk.

Tariffs are killing American manufacturing

No.1433135 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.reuters.com/business/us-manufacturing-contracts-sixth-straight-month-amid-tariff-drag-2025-09-02/
WASHINGTON, Sept 2 (Reuters) - U.S. manufacturing contracted for a sixth straight month in August as factories dealt with the fallout from the Trump administration's import tariffs, with some manufacturers describing the current business environment as "much worse than the Great Recession."
The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) survey on Tuesday also showed some manufacturers complaining that the sweeping import duties were making it difficult to manufacture goods in the United States. President Donald Trump has defended his protectionist trade policy, which has raised the nation's average tariff rate to the highest in a century, as necessary to revive a long-declining U.S. industrial base.
That was reinforced by government data showing spending on the construction of factories dropped in July and was down 6.7% from a year ago. A U.S. appeals court ruled last Friday that most of Trump's tariffs were illegal, adding more uncertainty for businesses.
"I continue to see the broad economy generally and the manufacturing sector in particular as in a holding pattern until tariff-related uncertainty recedes," said Stephen Stanley, chief U.S. economist at Santander U.S. Capital Markets.
The ISM said its manufacturing PMI edged up to 48.7 last month from 48.0 in July. A PMI reading below 50 indicates contraction in manufacturing, which accounts for 10.2% of the economy. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the PMI would rise to 49.0.

Trump Has No Cards

No.1429061 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2025/08/trump-putin-ukraine-talks/683899/
President Donald Trump berated President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office. He allowed the Pentagon twice to halt prearranged military shipments to Ukraine. He promised that when the current tranche of armaments runs out, there will be no more. He has cut or threatened to cut the U.S. funds that previously supported independent Russian-language media and opposition. His administration is slowly, quietly easing sanctions on Russia, ending “basic sanctions and export control actions that had maintained and increased U.S. pressure,” according to a Senate-minority report. “Every month he’s spent in office without action has strengthened Putin’s hand, weakened ours and undermined Ukraine’s own efforts to bring an end to the war,” Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Elizabeth Warren wrote in a joint statement.
Many of these changes have gone almost unremarked on in the United States. But they are widely known in Russia. The administration’s attacks on Zelensky, Europeans, and Voice of America have been celebrated on Russian television. Of course Vladimir Putin knows about the slow lifting of sanctions. As a result, the Russian president has clearly made a calculation: Trump, to use the language he once hurled at Zelensky, has no cards.

Trump does say that he wants to end the war in Ukraine, and sometimes he also says that he is angry that Putin doesn’t. But if the U.S. is not willing to use any economic, military, or political tools to help Ukraine, if Trump will not put any diplomatic pressure on Putin or any new sanctions on Russian resources, then the U.S. president’s fond wish to be seen as a peacemaker can be safely ignored. No wonder all of Trump’s negotiating deadlines for Russia have passed, to no effect, and no wonder the invitation to Anchorage produced no result.

Fox News host apologized for suggesting homeless people should be killed

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2025-09-14/fox-news-host-brian-kilmeade-apologizes-for-remarks-about-killing-mentally-ill-homeless-people

“Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade apologized Sunday for remarks he made last week that suggested using involuntary lethal injections to get mentally ill homeless people off the streets.

Kilmeade’s comments came during a discussion last Wednesday on “Fox & Friends” about the Aug. 22 stabbing death of a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, Iryna Zarutska, on a light rail train in Charlotte, N.C.

Zarutska’s suspected killer, DeCarlos Brown Jr., is a homeless man with a long criminal record and is a paranoid schizophrenic, according to his family.

The attack on Zarutska was captured on security cameras and circulated widely online. The incident has sparked a national debate on public safety policy and criminal sentencing.

The topic led “Fox & Friends” co-host Laurence Jones to say that billions of dollars have been spent on programs to care for the homeless and mentally ill but many of those afflicted resist help.

“A lot of them don’t want to take the programs,” Jones said. “A lot of them don’t want to get the help that is necessary. You can’t give them the choice. Either you take the resources that we’re going to give you, or you decide that you’ve got to be locked up in jail.”

Kilmeade added: “Or involuntary lethal injection or something — just kill ‘em.”

A clip of Kilmeade’s remarks started to circulate widely on X on Saturday.

Indian migrant truck driver who killed 16 young white male Canadians in crash back on streets after completing tiny sentence... and now he's trying to stop his deportation

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15018765/broncos-truck-crash-jaskirat-sidhu-deportation-parole-florida-crash.html

A truck driver who spent only four years behind bars after killing half a junior ice hockey team in a horror crash is fighting deportation to India.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, 36, barreled through a stop sign at 53 to 60mph and a bus carrying 29 players and staff from the Humboldt Broncos couldn't stop in time.

The bus collided with the truck's front trailer, killing 16 and injuring 13 in the crash at about 5pm on April 6, 2018, in rural Saskatchewan, Canada.

Sidhu was jailed for eight years in March 2019 but was released on parole after four years and four months behind bars.

He returned to his suburban life with his Canadian wife and the couple had a baby soon after he was released, who has severe heart and lung complications.

Sidhu's case is similar to that of Harjinder Singh, who killed three people when he made an illegal U-turn across two lanes of traffic on August 12.

His sentence and subsequent deportation battle may be a glimpse into the future for those affected by last week's tragedy on the Florida Turnpike.

Suprising no one, the censorship was coming from Republicunts

No.1428199 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
>"We came up with an idea on p*rnography, to make it so that p*rn companies bear the liability for underage use, as opposed to the person who visits the website. We've got a number of states that are passing this, and the p*rn company then says 'you know what, I'm not doing business in state', which, of course, is entirely what we want," he continues. "We would have a national ban on p*rnography if we could."

https://www.thegamer.com/steams-adult-content-ban-has-been-plotted-for-a-year/

The world of video games is currently undergoing a seismic wave of censorship. Over the last few weeks, payment processors, thanks to a group called Collective Shout, have been putting pressure on game distribution services to remove adult games. Both Steam and Itch.io have fallen foul of the campaign, which has seen hundreds of games removed or restricted on the platforms.

While gamers are banding together to fight the censorship, and some platforms, like GOG, are remaining defiant, what started as a fight against games that included 'r*pe' and 'inc*st' could devolve into a full-on war against video games as a whole, with Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row seen as being "at risk".

Although Collective Shout is seen as the torchbearer of this campaign, it seems like the root of this censorship goes further back, with a video from almost exactly a year ago resurfacing featuring US government official Russel Vought expressing his plans to implement a "national ban on p*rnography".
