US economy falters as jobs growth grinds to a halt

Donald Trump’s pledge that he would deliver a booming economy to Americans is being undermined by a stalling labour market, in a warning sign for his party’s prospects at next year’s congressional elections.

Until recently, the US president could argue that his disruptive policy moves — from sweeping import tariffs to an aggressive immigration crackdown — had defied critics with resilient job creation and relatively stable inflation.

But Friday’s figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed jobs growth has been grinding to a halt — US employers created just 22,000 positions in August after a weak summer — puncturing confidence that Trump’s economy will remain unscathed.

Omair Sharif, an analyst at Inflation Insights, said: “Trade policy uncertainty — and policy uncertainty in general — is causing a pullback in hiring, and it is not clear that it will be resolved anytime soon.”

Friday’s data has provided Democrats with fresh ammunition for their claims that Trump’s economic policies were doing more harm than good.

Maggie Hassan, the New Hampshire senator and top Democrat on the joint economic committee, told the Financial Times: “Costs keep going up. Manufacturing here in the US is contracting. Businesses don’t know whether to invest or hire because there’s so much uncertainty in the economy.”

“This is a direct result of the president’s reckless tariffs and the uncertainty that he has created.”

private school

No.1432985 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hello! A small request to you and we hope that your request will help us..
Background: On September 2, Zhanelle
went to the assembly, full of enthusiasm for this school year, but unfortunately it all turned into a huge tragedy and the private school
Bachelor's degree is an accomplice. She has always been a bright personality and came to the assembly in her own style, because of which teachers and head teachers, as well as the principal, attacked her. The mother of a certain Dimash, hit her head against the wall, grabbing her by the hair. She was dragged along the corridors by her clothes, called a slut, etc., the juvenile police were called on her and moral pressure was put on her, which unfortunately prompted her to commit suicide 03.09
This is not the only case where this school is bullying its students and killing morals, and trying to whitewash its reputation with money. They bribed one person who removes bad reviews, and also began to set their students against it.
The girl was bullied for two years, despite the fact that it is a private school where they pay 2 million rubles a year. Some teachers and the headmistress are accused of a sect
Put bad on this and help us somehow, thanks for your attention

Recent Gen-Z Protest In Nepal

No.1433010 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Today, September 8th, 2025, in Nepal, especially in its capital kathmandu, at a place called Maitighar, a protest was held.
In some of the international Media it is portrayed that the protest was to unban social media. While that was also one of the agenda of the protest, it certainly wasn't the main one.
The main agenda was ban of corruption.
The children of ministers are flexing their wealth, the ministers are wearing $42k+ watch, while the condition of the country remained in vain.
So, to raise awareness against that, a protest was held, but it became more than a protest. It became a graveyard for the students(around 17 years), for the Gen-Z people.
20 people have been confirmed dead, and they were shot by the police, they were murdered by the one that is supposed to protect them. The police have claimed that they were using "Rubber" bullets, but metal bullets were extracted from the shot people.
The school bags that are supposed to carry the ambition and dreams of the students, carried their own blood, it was a terrible sight to see.
Furthermore, in the Civil Hospital, police have been reported to barge in and shoot the ER's door, throw tear gasses and many more.
I want to know where the Human Rights Activists are? Why are they silent? Or does the root of the corruption goes deeper than we imagine?
After the protest, Our Prime Minister is planning to ban social media thoroughly making it inaccessible through VPNs or changing DNS, he is not addressing the situation properly, no accountability is taken for the deaths or the injured people.
All i ask for is justice for the families of the dead and the safety of the citizens.

Do you enjoy larping here? EU wants to scan it all

No.1433002 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Do you actually like using this forum, whether it is LARPing, debating, memeing, or just DM’ing friends? Then pay attention. Under the EU’s proposed Chat Control law, platforms like this, along with Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and almost any forum or messaging service with private chats, could be forced into constant surveillance.

This is not a conspiracy. It is exactly what is being proposed. The EU wants to force providers to scan all messages, images, and files, including private DMs. They plan client-side scanning, which means the content is scanned before encryption. Your device becomes a surveillance tool. Sites that refuse could face fines, court orders, domain seizures, or shutdown, meaning your favorite communities could vanish.

And this is only the beginning. If Chat Control passes, it sets a precedent for governments to demand more intrusive monitoring. Surveillance could expand to facial recognition in public spaces, behavior tracking, eye and hand movement in apps, and predictive behavior analysis. Today it is “stop CSAM” scanning. Tomorrow it could be profiling everyone based on actions, interactions, and even physical behavior.

Non-EU users, pay attention. Once the EU succeeds, other governments will likely copy the model, forcing global platforms to comply. Even services outside the EU could be pressured, restricted, or blocked. Your private communications may not stay private.

If you value private communication, online freedom, and diverse communities, act now:

Chinese cyber espionage on a global scale

No.1431151 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Translated by mistralAI
https://formiche.net/2025/08/intelligence-usa-italia-ed-europa-condanno-il-cyberspionaggio-cinese-su-scala-mondiale/#content
Cyberspace is once again at the center of global geopolitical competition, with China back in the dock.
The report titled "Countering Chinese State-Sponsored Actors Compromise of Networks Worldwide to Feed Global Espionage System," released by the main intelligence and cybersecurity agencies of the United States, Five Eyes, Japan, Europe, and Italy, unveils a malicious campaign on a global scale attributed to hacker groups sponsored by Beijing.
The report is clear: the attacks have been carried out by groups known in the cybersecurity community with evocative labels such as Salt Typhoon, Operator Panda, RedMike, UNC5807, and GhostEmperor, which have been monitored by analysts for years. These are not isolated operations but a coherent cluster of campaigns traceable to entities based in China, often front companies working closely with the Ministry of State Security and the People's Liberation Army.
