Trump announces disaster relief aid to cities and states would be blocked if they boycott Israel

No.1424639 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/08/04/trump-blocks-some-disaster-aid-to-states-that-boycott-israel/85513323007/
U.S. states and cities that boycott Israeli companies will be denied federal aid for natural disaster preparedness, President Donald Trump's administraton announced, tying routine federal funding to its political stance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency stated in grant notices posted Aug. 1 that states must follow its "terms and conditions." Those conditions require they certify they will not sever “commercial relations specifically with Israeli companies” to qualify for funding.

The requirement applies to at least $1.9 billion that states rely on to cover search-and-rescue equipment, emergency manager salaries and backup power systems, among other expenses, according to 11 agency grant notices reviewed by Reuters.

The requirement is the latest effort by the Trump administration to use federal funding to promote its views on Israel.

The Department of Homeland Security, the agency that oversees FEMA, said in April that boycotting Israel is prohibited for states and cities receiving its grant money.

FEMA separately said in July that states will be required to spend part of their federal terrorism prevention funds on helping the government arrest migrants, an administration priority.

The Israel requirement takes aim at BDS, the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement designed to put economic pressure on Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territories. The campaign's supporters grew more vocal in 2023, after Hamas attacked southern Israel and Israel invaded Gaza in response.

“DHS will enforce all antidiscrimination laws and policies, including as it relates to the BDS movement, which is expressly grounded in antisemitism,” a spokesperson for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

Anti-LGBT Utah Republican Changes the Age of Consent After Relative Accused of Child Rape

No.1425259 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.ibtimes.sg/anti-lgbtq-utah-lawmaker-changed-age-consent-laws-help-relative-accused-raping-13-year-old-81101
State Sen. J. Stuart Adams, Republican leader of the Utah Senate, who once said that transgender athletes put biological women at risk, has drawn criticism after he changed state laws to keep his relative out of jail.

Adams helped change a state law to give his 18-year-old accused relative a lighter sentence after the teen was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl. Adams claims he neither requested nor helped draft the 2024 law that aided his relative, but he did ask for the relative's rape charges to be reconsidered in light of the new law.

Utah state law says that people under the age of 14 can never consent to sex, and the old state statute required that 18-year-olds receive a first-degree child rape felony charge for having sex with anyone 13 years old or younger. The felony charge required the rapist to also register as a sex offender.

However, the new law allows accused rapists 18 years old and younger to receive a reduced third-degree felony charge of unlawful sexual activity (and avoid jail time and registration as a sex offender) if they're enrolled in high school.

Adams' Relative Faced 25 Years in Prison Before the New Law Came into Effect, Now He Has Avoided Jail Time

Before the new law passed, Adams' relative was charged with two counts of child rape and two counts of child sodomy (all first-degree felonies), and faced up to 25 years to life in prison as well as a lifetime on the sex offender registry. The relative's plea deal with state prosecutors had reportedly reached an impasse, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

The new law was drafted by the relative's defense attorney, Cara Tangaro, and sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Kirk Cullimore (R) after Adams reportedly confided in him about his relative's legal charges.

Important Australian Court hearing to decide if trannies are still legally women

No.1424548 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
This trial will be ongoing for the next 3 days to decide if trans women will still be legally women.
How this court battle all started

-A tranny that goes by the name of Roxanne Tickle decided to sue a woman for discrimination after getting kicked off of a female only app after revealing his selfie. The site owner kicked him off manually after reviewing the profile.

-He stalked her offline and sent loads of text messages begging for acceptance back onto the app.

-She blocked him, so he decided to sue her.
Roxanne won $50,000 AUD last year.

-The woman appealed the lawsuit so the final verdict will be announced by Friday.
I can't believe that these troons have gotten away with this stuff for so long.

This trial will be historic for Australia because If the judge is not based, it will set a precedence for other western countries.

Which side are you on?
Who is in the right?
Im listening to the hearing live and the judges keep bringing up how the women was intentionally misgendering the tranny online.
That's why he's trying to sue for even more money this time around.

Pedo Protectors left flailing after reports of their pedo protection meeting leaked

Apparently no one was supposed to know about all of Trumps creatures getting together in a secret meeting at Vances house to make sure they all have the same cover story to protect other Gross Old Pedophiles.

It was reported on Wednesday that Vice President JD Vance would host a strategy meeting to help determine the White House's response to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and how to handle the information they have about him and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.

"But now, after significant news coverage of this scheduled meeting, sources say it may be moved, rescheduled, or canceled entirely," said CNN host Kasie Hunt.

Speaking to senior White House correspondent Kristen Holmes, Hunt noted that it was a little shocking to hear news that such a meeting would happen.

What we learned is that the White House was also kind of floored that this information got out there from a number of sources, to my colleague Alayna Treene and me, and a number of our White House team members, that there was going to be a dinner at all," said Holmes as Hunt laughed.

The goal, Holmes said, is for the staff to sit down with some Cabinet members "to really realign."

"One of the things to note is the last time we talked about a meeting involving Susie Wiles, Kash Patel, and Pam Bondi, it didn't end well. In fact, it ended with FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino saying that he wasn't leaking stories about Bondi and storming out of the meeting," recalled Holmes.

There has been a lot of tension between the FBI and Bondi over the Epstein matter. Both Patel and Bongino spent years advocating for the release of the Epstein documents, stating that if they were in charge, the documents would be released. Now, however, things have changed.

https://apnews.com/article/rfk-kenndy-vaccines-injury-compensation-lawsuit-gardasil-4a8ff2cec127d6ae7ddaf0f4f3479283

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is vowing to “fix” the federal program for compensating Americans injured by vaccines, opening the door to sweeping changes for a system long targeted by anti-vaccine activists.

Health experts and lawyers say updates are needed to help clear a backlog of cases in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, created by Congress in 1986 as a no-fault payment system for presumed vaccine injuries.

But they also worry Kennedy’s changes will reflect his history as a leader in the anti-vaccine movement, which has alternately called for abolishing the program or expanding it to cover unproven injuries and illnesses that aren’t connected to vaccines.

Kennedy and other critics believe the program is “too miserly in what it considers to be a vaccine injury,” said Jason Schwartz, a public health expert at Yale University. “That’s created great concern that he could expand what’s included.”

Anti-vaccine groups have long suggested a link between vaccines and autism, despite scientific consensus that childhood vaccines don’t cause the condition. Adding autism to the list of injuries covered by the plan “would dramatically increase the number of compensable cases, potentially bankrupting it,” Schwartz said.

Program is credited with saving the U.S. vaccine industry

Signed into law under President Ronald Reagan, the compensation program is designed to provide quick, efficient compensation to Americans who report known injuries associated with vaccines, such as rare allergic reactions. At the time of its creation, a number of vaccine-makers were exiting the business due to risks of class action lawsuits.

In a recent social media post, Kennedy called the program “broken” and accused federal lawyers and adjudicators who run it of “inefficiency, favoritism and outright corruption.”

American sentiment for desiring an increase in immigration is nearing an all time high of 26%

Surge in U.S. Concern About Immigration Has Abated

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Americans have grown markedly more positive toward immigration over the past year, with the share wanting immigration reduced dropping from 55% in 2024 to 30% today. At the same time, a record-high 79% of U.S. adults say immigration is a good thing for the country.

These shifts reverse a four-year trend of rising concern about immigration that began in 2021 and reflect changes among all major party groups.

With illegal border crossings down sharply this year, fewer Americans than in June 2024 back hard-line border enforcement measures, while more favor offering pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants already in the U.S.

These findings are based on a June 2-26 Gallup poll of 1,402 U.S. adults, including oversamples of Hispanic and Black Americans, weighted to match national demographics.

The same poll finds many more Americans disapproving than approving of President Donald Trump’s handling of immigration. Trump’s 21% approval rating on the issue among Hispanic adults is below his 35% rating nationally, with the deficit likely reflecting that group’s low support for some of the administration’s signature immigration policies.

Fewer Americans Want Immigration Decreased
After climbing to 55% in 2024, the percentage of Americans who say immigration should be reduced has dropped by nearly half to 30%. Sentiment is thus back to the level measured in 2021, before the desire for less immigration started to mount. Meanwhile, 38% now want immigration kept at its current level, and 26% say it should be increased.

Italian killer suicides in prison

No.1425189 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Stefano Argentino just killed himself in Messina prison. This is the guy who stabbed Sara Campanella to death outside university in March after stalking her for months. She literally recorded audio of him following her and saying "il malato mi segue" (the sick one is following me) before he knifed her.
Trial was supposed to start September 10th but now it’s over. 51st prison suicide in Italy this year alone. Defense lawyer is blaming the state for denying psychiatric evaluation.

What do you guys think? Justice served or did he take the easy way out?
