Italian killer suicides in prison

No.1425189 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Stefano Argentino just killed himself in Messina prison. This is the guy who stabbed Sara Campanella to death outside university in March after stalking her for months. She literally recorded audio of him following her and saying "il malato mi segue" (the sick one is following me) before he knifed her.
Trial was supposed to start September 10th but now it’s over. 51st prison suicide in Italy this year alone. Defense lawyer is blaming the state for denying psychiatric evaluation.

What do you guys think? Justice served or did he take the easy way out?

Trump hire who let Epstein go the first time somehow not subpoenaed

No.1424786 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
It makes sense since they already know that he covered up Trump and Epsteins pedophilia before. Thats not the testimony they want anyway, right?

https://www.axios.com/2025/08/05/jeffrey-epstein-files-alex-acosta-subpoena

President Trump's former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta was not one of the former government officials subpoenaed Tuesday by the House Oversight Committee over the Jeffrey Epstein probe.

Why it matters: As a federal prosecutor in 2008, Acosta approved a highly controversial non-prosecution agreement that allowed Epstein to serve minimal time in prison and shut down the federal investigation into his alleged sex trafficking ring.

The sweetheart plea deal, which Acosta negotiated without consulting Epstein's victims, also shielded his alleged co-conspirators from future prosecution related to his sex crimes.
Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell has appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn her sex trafficking conviction, citing the agreement the Justice Department struck via Acosta. She said in a court filing Tuesday that she doesn't want the government to unseal grand jury testimony related to the Epstein case.

Driving the news: House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday he had issued subpoenas to a number of prominent figures to appear for depositions in the following weeks and months.

Those individuals included former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former FBI directors James Comey and Robert Mueller.
A House panel last month approved a motion by Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) to direct Comer to subpoena those individuals.

Yes, but: Acosta wasn't among those subpoenaed, which raised eyebrows from reporters and followers of the Epstein probe, given Acosta's role in negotiating the deal at the heart of the scandal.

Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who was included in the subpoena list, was Acosta's boss during his time in South Florida.

No.1424766 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Some guys in Indonesia have found guilty by judge. The cops found them in a 4x4 houses with more than 40 account to outplay the online gambling site, while most people found them nothing close to wrong, but the judge still call guilty.

So is it actually wrong to trick a gambling site? Or is it just something that happen only in this country?

White House Orders NASA to Destroy Climate Research Satellite

No.1424770 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport

The White House has instructed NASA employees to terminate two major, climate change-focused satellite missions.

As NPR reports, Trump officials reached out to the space agency to draw up plans for terminating the two missions, called the Orbiting Carbon Observatories. They've been collecting widely-used data, providing both oil and gas companies and farmers with detailed information about the distribution of carbon dioxide and how it can affect crop health.

One is attached to the International Space Station, and the other is collecting data as a stand-alone satellite. The latter would meet its permanent demise after burning up in the atmosphere if the mission were to be terminated.

Trump fixing homelessness

No.1422116 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Trump just penned an executive order to fix homelessness, despite Democrats history of enabling it.
It will provide federal funding and incentives to give drug addicts and mentally ill treatment. It will work on grants for states to prohibit open drug use and camping. Fentanyl addicts who live in tents behind Starbucks are sure to be seething.

Trump signs executive order to push cities to curb homeless sleeping, drug use on streets

President Trump has signed an executive order on Thursday aiming to provide resources that would push cities and states to remove homeless people from sleeping on streets and to crack down on drug use.

The order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to reverse precedents that limit state and local governments’ ability to commit people on streets who are at risk to themselves or others, according to a White House fact sheet obtained by The Hill.

It also requires interagency work on grants for states to enforce prohibitions on open illicit drug use, urban camping, loitering and squatting, and to track sex offenders. And, it requires redirecting funds to ensure people sleeping on streets and causing public disorder, and suffering from serious mental illness or addiction, are moved to facilities like treatment centers.

Additionally, the order requires that discretionary grants for substance use prevention, treatment and recovery do not go toward funding “drug injection sites or illicit drug use,” and it aims to stop sex offenders who receive homelessness assistance from being housed with children and allows programs to house women and children exclusively.

The order, which USA Today first reported on, is described as an effort “to restore order to American cities and remove vagrant individuals from our streets” in the fact sheet. It aims to redirect federal funds toward tackling substance abuse and necessity of civil commitment

US says men cannot compete in women's Olympics. Leftists BTFO again!

US Olympic and Paralympic officials bar transgender women from competing in women's categories

Transgender women will no longer be eligible to compete for the United States in the Olympic or Paralympic Games in women's categories, after a recent policy change from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC).

The committee cited President Donald Trump's February executive order, titled "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports," which mandates immediate enforcement, including against schools and athletic associations that "deny women single-sex sports and single-sex locker rooms," according to the document, and directs state attorneys general to identify best practices for enforcing the mandate.

In a memo to the Team USA community on Tuesday, obtained by ABC News, USOPC President Gene Sykes and CEO Sarah Hirshland referenced Trump's executive order and said, "As a federally chartered organization, we have an obligation to comply with federal expectations."

The USOPC is responsible for supporting, entering and overseeing U.S. teams in the Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as sporting events for all ages, from youth to masters' competitions.

In an update to its athlete safety policy, without using the word transgender by name, the USOPC said its revised policy "emphasizes the importance of ensuring fair and safe competition environments for women."

"Mystery orange shape" was at Epstein's cell when he died

No.1423457 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://nypost.com/2025/07/30/us-news/mystery-orange-shape-spotted-near-jeffrey-epsteins-jail-cell-night-before-his-death-report/
An orange shape was spotted on surveillance footage near Jeffrey Epstein’s prison cell on the final night of his life — and forensic experts are questioning the federal government’s explanation of the mysterious object.

The shadowy object, seen in video obtained and reviewed by CBS News, moves up the stairs to Epstein’s cell block at the Metropolitan Correctional Center around 10:40 p.m. the night before the 66-year-old convicted sex trafficker was found hanged.

Federal investigators previously concluded the pixelated blob was a corrections officer “carrying linen or inmate clothing,” but forensic experts who spoke to the network as part of an investigation into the jail video now suspect it may have actually been a jumpsuit clad inmate.

“Based on the limited video, it’s more likely a person in an [orange] uniform,” Conor McCourt, a retired NYPD sergeant and forensic video expert, told CBS.

Epstein was found dead in his cell on August 10, 2019 and an official autopsy, as well as a joint DOJ-FBI probe, found that the disgraced financier killed himself by hanging.

But the forensic experts who spoke to CBS News believe there are significant flaws in the Justice Department’s official review of the convicted sex trafficker’s death.

While the FBI claimed surveillance cameras would have captured anyone entering or exiting the area where the billionaire was held, footage released by the DOJ revealed that the staircase is almost entirely out of view, the outlet’s analysis found.

The entrance to Epstein’s cell is also outside the camera’s field of view.

“To say that there’s no way that someone could get to that, the stairs up to his room, without being seen is false,” video forensic expert Jim Safford told CBS, with his view shared by four other leading experts.

French president and wife sue rightwing US commentator Candace Owens for defamation

No.1421824 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/23/emmanuel-brigitte-macron-candace-owens-lawsuit-defamation

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte Macron, are suing the rightwing commentator Candace Owens for defamation.

In a suit filed on Wednesday in Delaware against Owens and her businesses, the Macrons say Owens has engaged in ongoing defamatory attacks against them in order to elevate her media platform, gain more audience and make money.

Owens said in early 2024 that she would “stake [her] entire professional reputation on the fact that Brigitte Macron is in fact a man”. Since then, she has doubled down on these claims and added more, including in an eight-part podcast series called Becoming Brigitte, the lawsuit alleges.

The Macrons sought retractions from Owens, the suit says, for the “demonstrably false” claims she has made about them but she instead “mocked them and used them as additional fodder for her frenzied fan base”.

Veteran and US citizen arrested by ICE warns it could happen to anyone

No.1420957 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
A U.S. Army veteran who was arrested during an immigration raid at a Southern California marijuana farm last week said Wednesday he was sprayed with tear gas and pepper spray before being dragged from his vehicle and pinned down by federal agents who arrested him.

George Retes, 25, who works as a security guard at Glass House Farms in Camarillo, said he was arriving at work on July 10 when several federal agents surrounded his car and — despite him identifying himself as a U.S. citizen — broke his window, peppered sprayed him and dragged him out.

“It took two officers to nail my back and then one on my neck to arrest me even though my hands were already behind my back,” Retes said.

The Ventura City native was detained during chaotic raids at two Southern California farms where federal authorities arrested more than 360 people, one of the largest operations since President Donald Trump took office in January. Protesters faced off against federal agents in military-style gear, and one farmworker died after falling from a greenhouse roof.

The raids came more than a month into an extended immigration crackdown by the Trump administration across Southern California that was originally centered in Los Angeles, where local officials say the federal actions are spreading fear in immigrant communities.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom spoke on the raids at a news conference Wednesday, calling Trump a “chaos agent” who has incited violence and spread fear in communities.
