Traitor president Honors Violent, Treasonous Insurrectionists

No.1411716 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Donald Trump, famous for ordering a violent mob to attempt to storm Congress and overturn the results of the 2020 election, took a small break from rage tweeting about sending in another 10,000 soldiers to quell a protest that has left upwards of 20 cars burnt, to honor the memories of the treasonous leaders of a violent, years long insurrection that left roughly seven hundred thousand Americans dead.

When questioned about the apparent hypocrisy of honoring murderous traitors while wildly overstepping his boundaries as president to protect trash cans from being burnt in a two block region of Los Angeles, Trump simply shrugged and said "Look, this LA thing has got everyone distracted from the fact that I still haven't released the Epstein files. I've got to milk it for all it's worth."

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he is restoring the names of Confederate traitors who fought to keep Black people enslaved to American military bases across the country despite Congress mandating their removal in a law enacted over his veto five years ago.

Speaking to active-duty troops at Fort Bragg in North Carolina — which had been renamed Fort Liberty under President Joe Biden — Trump told the assembled soldiers he would also be restoring the names of Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Rucker, Fort Polk, Fort AP Hill and Fort Robert E. Lee.

All of those bases are in the south — which formed the former pro-slavery confederacy — and were named by southern lawmakers who sought to honor the “Lost Cause” of the fight against emancipating Black slaves.

“We won a lot of battles out of those forts — it's no time to change,” said Trump, who said he was “very superstitious” and therefore against renaming the bases despite Congress ordering it done in the waning months of his first term.

Israel agrees to ceasefire; announces major settlement expansion in Gaza

No.1408687 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1j5954edlno
Israeli ministers say 22 new Jewish settlements have been approved in the occupied West Bank - the biggest expansion in decades.

Several already exist as outposts, built without government authorisation, but will now be made legal under Israeli law. Others are completely new, according to Defence Minister Israel Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

Settlements - which are widely seen as illegal under international law, though Israel disputes this - are one of the most contentious issues between Israel and the Palestinians.

Katz said the move "prevents the establishment of a Palestinian state that would endanger Israel", while the Palestinian presidency called it a "dangerous escalation".

The Israeli anti-settlement watchdog Peace Now called it "the most extensive move of its kind" in more than 30 years and warned that it would "dramatically reshape the West Bank and entrench the occupation even further".

Republicans Try to Discredit Experts Warning About the Cost of Tax Cuts

No.1409835 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/04/us/politics/trump-budget-bill-republicans-tax-cuts.html

Even before House Republicans learned the full price of their tax package on Wednesday, one of the bill’s chief authors, Representative Jason Smith of Missouri, was sowing doubt about the accuracy of the estimate.

“I’m skeptical,” Mr. Smith quipped at an event last month when asked about the coming analysis of the legislation’s cost. “Unless I like the number, I’m against the number.”

In the bitter war over the nation’s fiscal future, President Trump and his Republican allies have united around a new foe: the economists and budget experts who have warned about the costs of the party’s tax ambitions. Republican leaders have set about trying to discredit any hint of unfavorable accounting on their signature legislation as they race to enact it before the president’s self-imposed July 4 deadline.

The latest estimate arrived on Wednesday, projecting that the sprawling bill endorsed by Mr. Trump could add about $2.4 trillion to the federal debt over the next decade.

By then, though, the package of tax, spending and welfare cuts had already ignited an intense wave of political attacks and recriminations. While Republicans scrambled to cast their proposal as fiscally responsible, Wall Street was getting the jitters about the nation’s growing debt burden. The tech executive Elon Musk, having left behind his role seeking to slash government spending for Mr. Trump, savaged the bill again on social media on Wednesday, calling for new legislation to be drafted that “doesn’t massively grow the deficit.”

>Fatemeh Pahlavi married twice. She married Vincent Lee Hillyer (1924 – 7 July 1999) in a civil ceremony in Civitavecchia, Italy, on 13 April 1950.[3] Hillyer converted to Islam.[3] On 10 May they wed in a religious ceremony at Iran's embassy in Paris.[3][11] Hillyer was a friend of her brother Abdul Reza Pahlavi.[12] Fatemeh and Hillyer met in Iran during the latter's visit to the country. The marriage was not fully endorsed by Shah Mohammad Reza,[13] probably due to negative reactions in Iran.[14] They had three children, two sons, Kayvan and Dariush, and one daughter, Rana, who died in an accidental fall in infancy in 1954.[15]

DNC retroactively rigged another election

No.1412236 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
The DNC just retroactively rigged another election. They voted to nullify David Hoggs and Malcolm Kenyattas position as vice chairs, undoing the February election which they won.

David Hogg Reacts After DNC Vote to Redo Vice Chair Election

David Hogg said Wednesday night that he will not run in the redo vote after the Democratic National Committee (DNC) voted to nullify the February 2025 elections that appointed Hogg and Pennsylvania state representative Malcolm Kenyatta as vice chairs, citing procedural violations.

Hogg posted on X, formerly Twitter, "It is clear that there is a fundamental disagreement about the role of a Vice Chair — and it's okay to have disagreements. What isn't okay is allowing this to remain our focus when there is so much more we need to be focused on. Ultimately, I have decided to not run in this upcoming election so the party can focus on what really matters."

Why It Matters
This decision follows a complaint by former candidate Kalyn Free, who alleged that the election process did not adhere to the party's rules. The DNC's electronic vote, conducted from June 9 to June 11, approved the motion to redo the elections.

What To Know
Kenyatta is now the only candidate for the male vice chair slot. The three women, including Free, who lost to Hogg in February will compete for the second slot.

Newsweek has reached out to both Hogg and Kenyatta via email on Wednesday evening for comment.

Hogg, a prominent Gen Z activist and co-founder of the political group Leaders We Deserve, has been a contentious figure within the DNC due to his initiative to invest $20 million in supporting progressive challengers against incumbent Democrats. This move has sparked internal debates about party neutrality and leadership roles.

DNC Chair Ken Martin has emphasized the importance of neutrality among party officers and has proposed bylaw changes to enforce this principle

US Government declares everyone in Los Angeles is a CRIMINAL: "They're a city of criminals"

No.1411367 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://www.mediaite.com/media/tv/dhs-secretary-noem-on-los-angeles-theyre-a-city-of-criminals/
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem deemed Los Angeles “a city of criminals” as protests continued on Monday night.

The latest demonstrations began when agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement carried out raids in the city’s garment district, seeking to arrest undocumented immigrants working in the area. ICE agents also conducted a sweep outside a Los Angeles Home Depot, looking to snatch up migrant laborers.

In response to the protests, President Donald Trump has federalized 4,000 National Guard soldiers and deployed 700 Marines to the Los Angeles area. California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have criticized the move, over which state Attorney General Rob Bonta has sued the Trump administration. The last time a president federalized a state National Guard over the objections of its governor was 1965, when Lyndon Johnson invoked the Insurrection Act to protect Civil Rights marchers in Alabama.

Mexico winning the Immigration War

Under Trump, the Government is paying farmers to grow crops that they can't harvest so they get plowed over so Americans can pay tarriffs + increased prices for Mexicos leftover crops
Shills will pretend this is 'winning'

https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-farmers-now-plowing-over-130000347.html

Tony DiMare’s family owns 4,000 acres of tomato farms across Florida and California. Sadly, his Florida crops are not looking good — mowed over and left to rot, like tomato vines across the state.

But it’s not growing conditions that are the problem. It’s economic ones.

Deportations devastate farm workforce

About 50% of farm workers in the U.S. are undocumented migrants — including skilled supervisors and machine operators — according to Farmonaut, a farm technology company.

As the Trump administration proceeds with mass deportations of undocumented migrants, there are far fewer pickers in the fields, and crops are left to go bad.

One spoke to WSVN about fellow migrants leaving Florida each day. He spoke on condition of anonymity, concerned he might be deported himself

"A lot of people are really afraid, and sometimes they come, sometimes they don’t come,” he said. “And the harvest is lost because it cannot be harvested.”

The labor shortage also means Florida farmers have to pay more for labor. At the same time, they’re getting less money for their produce due to Trump’s tariff policies.
Tariffs upset traditional supply chain

From January through April, Trump’s threatened tariffs triggered Mexican suppliers to double or even triple tomato exports to the U.S. — before tariffs went into effect.

The result? The U.S. market was flooded with Mexican tomatoes. Florida farmers saw the wholesale price of a box of tomatoes plummet from $16 per box to $3 or $4. DiMare said tomato farmers need around $10 or $11 per box to break even.

Mistakenly deported Salvadoran native Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been brought back to the United States where he will face criminal charges for allegedly transporting undocumented migrants within the U.S.

More than two months after the Trump administration admitted it mistakenly deported Abrego Garcia from Maryland to his native El Salvador, a federal grand jury has indicted him for allegedly transporting undocumented migrants within the United States.

A two-count indictment, which was filed under seal in federal court in Tennessee last month and unsealed Friday, alleges Abrego Garcia, 29, participated in a yearslong conspiracy to haul undocumented migrants from Texas to the interior of the country.

The alleged conspiracy spanned nearly a decade and involved the domestic transport of thousands of noncitizens from Mexico and Central America, including some children, in exchange for thousands of dollars, according to the indictment.

Abrego-Garcia is alleged to have participated in more than 100 such trips, according to the indictment. Among those allegedly transported were members of the Salvadoran gang MS-13, sources familiar with the investigation said.

Abrego-Garcia is the only member of the alleged conspiracy charged in the indictment.

Disease-infested meat found at all Whole Foods stores

No.1409765 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
https://apnews.com/article/whole-foods-ground-beef-e-coli-alert-7d6613b15fd0676b1fbb4b3a0f428cc4
U.S. agriculture officials are warning that ground beef sold at Whole Foods markets nationwide may be contaminated with potentially dangerous E. coli bacteria.

Officials on Tuesday issued a public health alert for 1-pound, vacuum-packed packages of Organic Rancher beef, produced on May 22 and May 23, by NPC Processing Inc., of Shelburne, Vermont. The products have use-by dates of June 19 and June 20.

The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service did not request a recall because the products are no longer available for purchase. However, they may still be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.

The meat was produced in Australia or Uruguay and processed in the U.S. It was sent to distributors in Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois and Maryland and then to Whole Foods stores nationwide. The problem was discovered when company officials notified FSIS that they had shipped beef products that tested positive for E. coli O157:H7, a type of bacteria that can cause serious illness.

To date, no illnesses linked to the product have been reported, officials said. Consumers who have the product should throw it away or return it to the store.

E. coli bacteria can cause infections with symptoms that include dehydration, diarrhea and cramps. Most people recover within a week, but some people can become severely ill and develop a dangerous kidney condition. Children under age 5 and older adults are most at risk.
