>no new features >no statement/apology >no vulnerability disclosure >no pass extensions for the length of the downtime why is everyone so happy? staff clearly don't give a single fuck about this place. they only narrowly avoided their users getting doxxed because the hacker chose not to yet they haven't said a word about it. we're supposed to just blindly trust that they managed to patch all the vulnerabilities for the time being and that they're actually going to do security updates from now on. it's fucking pathetic, no other site is run like this.
I'm really getting tired of this site's moderation being painfully inactive and unresponsive. If anything the hacks have shown me the site is actively hostile towards its users and barely wants to try and maintain or improve any of the major communities they foster, only to just kinda "exist" and let bots, schizos, and shills waste our time and energy while we want to just have a good place for discussion. I'm sick of it all. I still have my pass because I love this site and I love /a/ and a bunch of other smaller threads elsewhere on the site, but if moderation sucks for basically all of the major boards aside from the ones most favored by moderation why bother staying here?
I hope they understand that this event is only going to degrade their userbase further rather than improve increasing it or improving its quality. Unless they take active, genuine measures to reach out to the more active communities on this site they REFUSE to try and control they're never going to have any genuine users aside from spergs and assholes ever again.
