>>7051180I'm not sure if your still around Anon, but I wanted to leave something that helps me a lot.
When you make plans to do things that you've been putting off forever, and think about all the shit you want to do. It's really easy to envision yourself doing all of it. Unfortunately, you're envisioning some "perfect" version of you that doesn't exist.
You're in this spot because you've made a habit of not doing these things, of not being this perfect person, of doing all this other stuff instead of what you need to do. You can't change this overnight.
Take all these big tasks, and choose one. Then, take that one and break it down into bite size chunks. Even if it's something as simple as cleaning your house.
It's easy to say "i'm going to clean my house tomorrow!" and then get depressed when you don't. But do you ever think about just how much work cleaning an entire house can be? Even cleaning an entire room can be a ton of work.
Take that job, and break it down. Break it into rooms, even break it down further. Look at the room and actually figure out what you want to clean. Make a list, and then just spend half an hour working on that list. It doesnt matter if you don't get it all done, just make sure you can complete even just one task on the list. Let yourself cross that item off.
Trying to change yourself, and trying to put yourself in a better place can't be fixed overnight. You have to slowly work towards it. Start somewhere that YOU (the you who you are right now) can actually do. And then keep slowly pushing from there. You don't have to do everything at once, Take it one step at a time and be proud of each of those steps.
You'll never become that perfect person you want to be, but that's okay. With time and a little effort you can become better. From there, you can become a little bit better again. You can, and will always be able to be a little better. Just try, and don't be hard on yourself.
Good luck anon.
