>compact, yet seats up to four
>doesn't require nearly as much road infrastructure
>probably doesn't even require a driver's license
>fast enough to travel most towns in a few minutes
>could easily be automated
What is stopping cities from buying a fleet of these things and renting them out like Citi bikes?

So I’m a young co pilot at a legacy American Airlines. I fly long haul flights. Im super asocial yet I im intriguing when socializing (im not like a stuttering retard, I’m mysterious). I hate traveling around the world and meeting new people. When I have to meet a new person or new colleague, I go into a panic, I can’t trust anyone. Also I’m scared if I get a heart attack or something health related, no one will try to help me. Also every crew I’ve flown with has talk behind my back because I don’t show up at their stupid diners. Most captains have said they didn’t like my “lack of respect for authority and procedure”. This isn’t official, but some insider guy told me I’m number 1 on the list for the person no pilot wants to fly with

So everyone who rides a bike is presented with the same choice:
>a. split your head open on the road
>b. don't

and you're telling me most people pick option a?

>throw away the based PE because gas will be cheap forever and freeway is big
>have to rebuild it again not even 30 years later because gas is fucking expensive and the freeway clogged to shit
>It's not even as much track or usable as PE because public owned rail is slow and shit
I hate post WWII America so much it's unreal

Why are trainheads so obsessed with the arbitrary distinction of "high speed rail"?
Especially in America where we barely have any passenger rail in the first place. Sure it would be nice to have trains that go fast, but wouldn't you rather first have any trains at all? Insisting that all new passenger rail be "high speed" just makes it exponentially more expensive to build and less likely that anything will ever happen. See picrel.
