First off they are really unsafe because of the standing riding position and a lack of inherent stability because of the tiny wheels.
So if you get one buy a seat attachment this makes it a little safer adds some range because of less wind resistance and is also more comfortable.
If you can afford it picrel has large enough wheels to make it safe.
But then you could just get an electric or otherwise moped.
Final words regarding safety many of them can be as fast as a moped and crashing them, which is quite likely, at that speed can kill you.

Hey, I need help. I have recurring knee pain from cycling. it's also on bottom/inside of kneecap. I'll wait weeks for it to clear up but as soon as I ride it comes back. Currently seeing a physiotherapist for it and other shit, but was wondering if I'm set up right. Any help would be appreciated.

if you're already shelling out money to one professional, you may as well get a professional bike fit. I don't know a lot about it but I think certain Specialized or Trek dealers have a fit machine that shines lasers on your butt, and other bike shops in good standing have old timers that have been doing it for decades.
that said, nothing about your pic seems off to my eye, but I know my fit by feel, not because I can see myself in profile so I'm not an expert or anything

I've been to BNSF's headquarters and that is something else. The NOC is unlike the other's I've been to and the hallways in the rest of the building are filled with amazing pieces of artwork(mostly depicting the west). They even have a gift shop with decent prices.

It probably doesn't help that I grew up playing Jet Set Radio on the Dreamcast, but yeah, graffiti like that has always been a favorite of mine. Art magazines are hit or miss on price, but something niche like that might just be worth it to the right collector. Then again, something like that is probably hard to find in as good of condition as you have them, so I'd hang on to them myself. Seriously cool stuff, you should scan them sometime.

those pages of freights I posted because transportatio/n/, but most of the big pictures were walls. not sure which writers were from chi or if I even have any, but I could look through for their names if there was anyone you were tryna check for.

but since chi, you really need to find a copy of Bomb the Suburbs by Upski if you haven't already and read that.
for 80s stuff there's the book Subway Art and documentary Style Wars but it's all NY.
the follow-up book, Spray Can Art should have a section on Chi but I just don't remember, I no longer have that one.

SA original edition is sort of magazine sized but I don't know if you can get that anymore, although a lot of times libraries will have it. the current edition is oversized and $, which is dope for the pictures but they left out all the journalistic writing that the original had

Yes but exactly that does not scale. Land is a limited ressource. Also increasingly intensive land use relies on the Haber-Boach process. Given the same area of land used for either any means of renewables that then fuel electric vehicles or livestock feed the renewables will easily come out on top. This is mostly because of the extremely poor efficiency of mammals doing work and of course the wheel. But also because a horse needs maintenance joules even when not doing any work. If you do the math you'll find that, sadly, the 'electric bicycle' is actually easily more environmentally friendly than a real bicycle and needs less than 15k miles to completely offset its production, assuming a typical first world electeicity mix and standard western diet. Also theres the methane issue.
But the real problem is actually motorvehicles per se.
