Did old streetcar/interurban lines ever connect up to or share the main freight lines, or were they entirely independent? If they weren't independent, could they have been used for freight spur lines?
Anonymous
>>2045596 Some did, like the Pacific Electric did a lot of interchange with railroads, and some systems continued as freight haulers after passenger service ended.
In general though, interurbans were a separate entity, with their own freight cars , specializing in smaller loads and more local service rather than bulk commodities. In Pennsylvania, street railways had to use a broad gauge track just to keep steam trains and long freights off the street.

>>2045596 The issue is that two rails use to much space for inner city traffic, I suggest using a monorail sorta like bike paths maybe under them like a mini metro system
With individual electric cars who will use less electricity space and can move faster

>be cop >drew the short straw and put in a patrol car at a popular cyclist route >90% of my day is now spent explaining basic cycling laws to motorists as I hand out fines I'm going to shoot the next person to say "they shouldn't play with their toys on the road!" I swear to fucking god Why are motorists so bad at basic traffic laws about bikes?

I saw the cops pull over down the road from me and sit waiting. I'm not getting another fucking helmet ticket. In my mind I hear "drop a gear and disappear". So I cut someone's driveway and duck on to a forest path. Not today. Not today.

Hi A/n/ons I'm an An/o/n's Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Recently I've been feeling a bit insecure my passenger capacity. An/o/n leased me about 2 years ago and ever since then he's intimately washed my hood and kissed me on my steering wheel when he pulls out his keys. He's taken me to work and to home almost everyday. But recently he's had some friends come home, and they started changing the way he behaves. He no longer kisses me on the bumper when he does maintenance on me, he no longer caresses my chassis. Recently he's been parking me at a train station. Normally he just parks me inside the park & ride Garage so I can't see anything outside. But yesterday he parked me outside the garage in the lot and I saw it all. There was a big multi-car train, and he had around a group of 15 or 20 with him and they were all taking selfies with her, and kissing and rubbing up on her massive engine chassis. There were also 300 others on the platform waiting for the train to open her doors and, ... and... *sobs in motor oil* She fit them all in her massive caboose, and pulled out of the station at incredible speeds. An/o/n no longer takes me to work and he just leaves me parked at this train station everyday now. Is there anyway to improve my capacity size so An/o/n can drive me all the way to work again OwO

What was worse 1. Scott's edgelord "street drugs slang" branding, or 2. ENVE's edgelord "4chan incel slang" branding Objectively I like the products of both of these companies but I can't imagine how this could improve sales

>>2048901 >Mogging (a verbification and apheresis of the acronym AMOG for alpha male of the group) is the act of dominating another person. A person who mogs others is called a mogger. A person who gets mogged is a moggee or mog-victim. >The term originated in the PUA community, who commonly advocated mogging other men as an effective tactic to attract women. It is typically used to describe a man (though the term is often incorrectly used in a gender-neutral fashion) who is more sexually attractive overall than another person. Especially when this higher sexual attractiveness threatens the mog victim's chance of becoming a reproductive success or related self-confidence tl;dr it's incel slang though it didn't strictly originate on 4chan

>>2046508 Not really, the terminology literally derives from "Stadtbahn" but even so despite all the variation it's generally accepted that it means either a tram with dedicated track or a light metro. Heavy rail/"S-bahn" will mean any commuter railway built to a loading gauge of that countries national rail system (of course since America is federalised and has transit authorities it doesn't exactly work that way but the rolling stock used for said commuter railways is interchangeable and a good amount of it is ex-Amtrak anyway). But if I still haven't made my point:
