Why do normal bikes suck so much compared to electric ones, especially in terms of price?

You can get a cool ebike that goes 50km/h with a simple twist of the hand for like 1200$ and for the same money you wouldn't even get a top-end manual bike.

I am burning up. How do I find routes that are easy, but are weather-appropiate? For example, something with a little bit of shade and near water refills during summer. In NA. I am going to melt and die. Komoot and strava just keep giving me the most lycra-adjacent, eyeroll-inducing routes. i dont wanna go 40 mph on the side of an asphalt highway cooking myself to death, im trying to enjoy myself, see some nature, not die, yknow?
