I grew fond of her being nesquick compared to tadala's milk chocolate.

But I kinda want to lighten up her hair a bit and maybe do some slight paint touchups on her face. Her eye printing seems a bit too small for the sculpt and it can look strange. And her hair being a darker shade and having such a thick wash kind of removes the contrast with her hair.

The only main problem was my left shoulder, I contacted both 5ktoys and xesray themselves but no reaction back yet if they have the inner shoulder assembly and joint as a replacement piece.
Anyone have experience with that? I asked a month or so ago and they haven't gotten back to me yet. Should I badger them more?

The critique of segmented small communities isn't really their fault. Finding a good one is what can be harder.
I do love the hardly unsupervised open room anonymous nature of imageboards like 4chan, but sadly the flipside is getting infected more easily by schizos, propaganda and marketing bots and there's not anything you can really do about it.

Thank you anon! It's been fun taking them and I'm glad other anons are liking the end results. And the other anon was correct about it being the Ubiquitous Base, the reissue being available on BBTS and that I said it was a bitch to put together. And while the assembly is a bit of a headache, but I am happy with how it's helped me step up my photography game. Whether it's worth 130 bucks really depends on how much enjoyment you get out of this sort of thing. I find posing and taking photos of my toys fun and relaxing, so for me it's been worth it to enhance something I do frequently to begin with. And as the previous anon pointed out, it's a reasonable asking price compared to a lot of other similarly scaled dioramas.

And it does come with everything needed to set up the lighting right? BBTS description seems to say so. $130 does seem like a lot but idk it does look very nice and versatile and I have made more retarded purchases. My biggest regret is not getting the GTP Space Walls when they were available. 1/12 was $100 and 1/18 $50 or $60 I believe. Seemed a bit pricey at the time but looking back and considering how much prices have increased, I think the 1/18 scale at least was an absolute bargain.

Over 10 years later i just dont really care anymore. 6 inch fags are simply more common now then 3.75 chads, also as others have stated companies can charge more and because of changes in chink world its become practically the same cost to produce a 6 inch figure as a 3.75 figure. Its fucking gay but it is what it is. I dont really care anymore there is SO much worse going on then the fact that the toy industry is lame now. Most of the toys i buy now anyways are unironic kids toys and now "collector grade" fluff

Partscount is the main factor in how much a mould costs to produce. A 1/12 and 1/18 figure will have similar production costs. It's one of the big reasons why 1/18 isn't so common these days, it's not financially viable to make anymore; consumers expect a 1/18 figure to cost substantially less than a 1/12 figure even though the manufacture expense is very similar, so you have to sell far more 1/18 to break even on a mould.
Also 1/12 is just more popular by virtue of generally being better on an individual figure basis.

The toy industry, apparently. If you make a 4" figure and then make a 6" version of the same figure with the same or similar partscount, it's not going to cost much more to make the 6" version, especially if they use the same size of mould "block" (which they likely will for ease of swapping moulds in and out of injection machines). The process of tooling the mould for lots of small parts is more complicated, and more expensive, than fewer large parts, hence why a lot of kids' toys are cheap, huge and not made of many components. Obviously, if people are willing to pay more for something that costs the same to make as something they'll pay less for, you make more of the thing they pay more for. Basic economics.

Work is kicking my ass at the moment, I've been Tamiya 1:48 exclusively for a while as a result. There is something be said for toughing it out, I did an AFV club half track that was basically warped out of the box and clung on to the bitter end. Damn thing is more filler than plastic. But you have to be in a slightly masochistic mood where its sucking is actively fun somehow.
