>>7993110companies do lie about their current situation and future plans all the time when hiring people, unfortunately that's just something that happens, especially when the people doing the hiring either don't understand from a technical perspective, or they simply don't give a shit about, the position they're interviewing you for
this happens a lot, particularly in art & design-oriented businesses, where the managers might know everything about stone and paint and carpet samples for example, and they know on a fundamental level that they need IT techs to handle all that "computer shit" for them (that's an actual direct quote by the way - which made for a fun and educational conversation back in the day, I can tell you), but to a lot of those managers the world of IT is often tantamount to witchcraft
all you can really do though, if it's a job/position that actually interests you, and is something you'd like to stay working on, is try not to get too down about what is or isn't happening around you and instead just try to stay somewhat engaged and positive with the folks around you at work as best you can, which I guarantee is never an easy thing to do, but it can definitely pay off in the long run
as for the music thing, if that's something that truly inspires and interests you, if you haven't seen his channels on youtube yet, Rick Beato is well worth taking a look at, he's a musician and music producer/engineer with well over a thousand videos and almost 3.5m subscribers across 2 channels, who talks a lot, and in some depth, about music theory and production and all kinds of other different music-related topics, I believe he also has his own website with a kind of Patreon subscription tiers arrangement, one of the perks of which is that he will listen to, critique, and offer advice about, a subscribers own musical work, maybe something like this would be useful to you, or is at least worth looking into
