Seedling Hunting

No.2826323 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I have been going /out/ on overgrown fields and abandoned properties hunting for seedlings and collecting them in pots.
It is like pokemon but for trees. I am always excited to find and collect a new species.
I have dozens of them now and can not stop.

Tried to ask /adv/ but its a bunch of teenager losers and 40 year old losers making endless how to talk to woman threads.

I am filming myself, but it's hard to speak to the camera without showing my face while adventuring. How do I cover my mouth and chin to avoid doxxing while still being able to see? I need glasses so cant use a helmet, and i can't just bring 9000 surgical masks with me. wife pic unrelated

Spooky lakes

No.2824079 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I have some spooky lakes nearby, and lake related lore.
One of the lakes is rumored to be bottomless. Its in a mountain valley, and is so deep in places no diver has ever gone to the bottom. The water looks black, just darkness. The valley is known for its harsh weather and people die there all the time from mudslides and avalanches. I don't like swimming in it because its always ice cold and it freaks me out.
Another much larger nearby lake is less intimidating. But my towns designated swimming area is right above the potable water intake pipe for the water treatment plant. In the fall you can see leaves floating on the surface bunch up above the intake and form and big floating leaf circle. I'm sure it has a wide grate to prevent anyone from getting stuck while swimming, and its probably too deep for most people to freedive, but it makes me uneasy swimming above it.
Also, I have a personal superstition that if a tourist drowns in the big lake, it will bring good luck for the following year. But if no tourist drowns during the swimming season, bad luck is coming.
What spooky lakes do you visit? Share lake lore.

Have you ever considered going /out/ dressed as Bigfoot, just to add to the legend? You know it would *actually* change your life forever if you REALLY thought you'd seen the real thing with your own eyes. You'd never forget it.
