Movie shooting outdoor place close to Montreal

No.2819272 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hello, I was looking for a rather strange-looking bridge that I knew as a child but today it has been destroyed and replaced by something more modern and less mysterious.

I wanted to know if you knew of any bridges (like this image) or mysterious locations (land, buildings, etc. Like the photo below) in the Montreal(Canada) area or around that could be used to shoot a short film.

I'm looking for something that can look mysterious or frightening.

Maybe it's not the good place to ask but I'm searching for a while and I need help

Times when you got turned around and you couldn't find your tent so you start to panic. How did you settle yourself down and figure it out?

Backpacking forever

No.2802094 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Planning on going backpacking and just making it a lifestyle. I'm 30 and have nothing to show for it. I have no future in society, my family hates me but I have to live in their house, can't find a job, no friends, and I have no interest in living the rest of my life like this. This is no life at all.
I want to know everything I need to know and have to start off since this the first time I would do this.
I barely have any money but I probably have enough to buy what I need. This is not a vacation though, i'm not going to spend on hotels and restaurants.
The idea is to keep moving north and sleeping in a tent.
I'm planning to take a bus to get out of the city and then just walk. If I "find" a bike to move faster, i'm taking it.
The area i'm going to has a hot climate so no need for winter equipment I would say.
If anyone could recommend a book or good yt channel about this it would be appreciated. I still have time to learn all this before I go.
I was wondering if to start off it would a good idea to buy a bunch of MRE's? I really don't know how I could acquire food without hunting and I don't have anything to hunt with.
Am I naive for thinking I can do this? Is it even possible?

First time going /out/

No.2819064 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So I just realized I love going to festivals in part because of the camping aspect of it. And that I'm a bit of retard of never having considered simply going hiking , considering that I live just a short train ride away from one of the more beautiful parts of my country.

In the federal state that sorrounds my hometown it is allowed to camp wherever you want to for one night when on a Hike, so I'm not dependent on camping grounds either.

My plan is to first go on a few day hikes to get a feeling for it, then start overnighting on my hikes. While I will try to recruit a friend or two , I'll definitelöy go alone eventually as I highly value being able to go wherever and whenever I want.
What are the essentials when hiking/ camping out on your own? A friends brother died a while back from breaking a leg trying to ford a creek, and he froze to death due to being unable to get out of the cold stream , so I am well aware that it may be easy to totally get fucked if you are on your own and without cellphone reception.

Whats the best way to get started, what do you have to look out for when camping somewhere in the woods, how do you identify a good camping spot and so on? Dangerous animals a renot a concern in that area, no bears or wolves.

How we doing southwest bros?

Grand Junction, Colorado here, I have a few weeks off from work and a good bicycle. Any of the four corner states are available to me, as I am looking to bike and camp. Athletic, good for 100+ miles per day.

are these extra guy lines actually important if I'm not camping in gale force winds? I've been just staking the four corners and two doors and haven't seem to have had an issue

Nobody ever talks about muh bologna sandwich.
>A single slice contains 640 mg of sodium (25% of daily recommended intake) and 13 g of fat, including 4 g of saturated fat, contributing to cardiovascular health risks.
>Nitrates/nitrites forming carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds increasing the risk of ass cancer.
Served up deliciously with emulsified, preserved, artificially colored cheese, maynayz, on enriched white "bread"

Mass-produced, ultra-processed foods marketed to the general public is a political issue.
