How is Wyoming in late May? particularly Grand Teton and the NFs around there in the SW. Will it be good to hike up the slopes or is there going to be an issue with melting snow around that time of year? Thinking about going out there for a week but don't want to waste the time if trails will be shit or closed.

I currently own a FWD ecobox with 6in clearance. With the right tires do I have a chance at hitting trailheads deep into the backcountry off pavement or do I need to invest in a truck/jeep?

What hiking/travel/outdoors gear do you use in your everyday, non-/out/ life?

Even when I'm in a city, I wear my hiking jacket on a rainy day as it's 100% waterproof. Same with my hiking cap and thermal underpants. I even consider using the scrubba wash bag as the only washing device since my new apartment doesn't have a washing machine yet. I might even switch to a silk Cocoon TravelSheet as my primary bedsheet to maximize my retarded minimalizm.
Tell me about your gear.
