I'm addicted to appreciating natural beauty, and this is the evolution of that. I live on the Olympic peninsula and have been taking my bike on solo camping trips in Olympic national forest as well as many day trips.

My bicycle is a Surly Ogre which is ideal for my purposes and rides like a dream. It has an overbuilt chromoly steel frame to be bombproof and handle lots of weight.

Hello, I was in scouting when I was a kid into my teens but once I reached Eagle scout (which coincided with covid) I stopped entirely. Since then I haven't been camping even though I want to and still have my old gear.

So, how do I find places to camp? All I can find are RV camping spots and bland off season summer camps. Is that it? Where can I go for better camping? I live on the Virginia coast and have no problem travelling around VA or to surrounding states.

Any tips or instructions on how to plan out trips, find camping spots, or is willing to tell me of spots would be greatly appreciated.
