The Level 7829 Stay

No.2842558 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
[Lost Footage]
“...All exits are gone. I’ve tried every hall, every door, but they just lead me back to the same place. I can’t leave. My supply’s almost gone just a swallow of almond water left. I don’t know how long I can keep moving without it. My head’s pounding, my legs are heavy… I think I’m running out of time.

Please, if anyone gets this if anyone’s out there I’m begging you... come find me before the Backrooms do.”

The wet and cold season is upon us, friends.

Do you enjoy hiking in that weather? I certainly do. Although many alpine trails become more dangerous and daylight is scarce, I think that this time of the year makes mother nature even more captivating.

Areas of massive contrast

No.2841292 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hello friends.
I'm looking for areas of big contrasts. Things like tall islands; or towns at the base of steep, tall mountains; or places with big holes like giant cenotes.
I'll take anything you've got. I'm trying to put together a list of places that feel surreal to be in.

Treks in Himalayas

No.2842664 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I checked some vacation options. There's Annapurna circuit for $1650, Manaslu circuit for $2000, Kala Patthar and Everest base camp trek for $2000 or $2500 if you add Ilsand Peak. There are also some more trekking peaks in Himalayas. And of course every one of these treks is advertised as the most beautiful.

So which one is the best option? And how difficult are those treks compared to European mountains? Are trekking 6 thousanders anything like Elbrus? Do Thorong La or Larkya La require significant experience in Alps or Caucasus?
