How many stings have you gotten so far this season? Ive gotten 1 jellyfish, 1 honeybee, 10+ paper wasps (stepped on their nest) and countless mosquito that i dont care or notice anymore. they need to bring back the asian giant hornet to north america so we can get stung by that too

I did porter and cascade a few days ago and it was filled with fat people. Why the fuck were people telling me, me hiking 5 miles a day every day for the past month not fit enough for he adirondacks? there was so many fat people in these "mountains" is this some sort of cope for these people to feel better about their hills by making them seem like big achievement?

Recently I climbed a 2000 m mountain and at about 1600 m where trees were about 1 m tall, there was immense amount of flies and similar insects. There was no problem with insects lower where trees were taller nor higher where trees disappeared. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
