All of my photos are digital and sit on my computer. I don't keep images/backups, but I do make multiple mirrors every once in a while and keep them in different locations (both flash and hard disks). I'd like to set up something more resilient and less involved, like a home server with a disk array, but I feel very intimidated by the task. What's a good place for me to start?

Recently I've been having alot of fun making my own film simulations! Its really interesting tweaking your settings in photoshop/lr and trying to replicate a film. Here are some I've recently made to replicate 800t. I used a tutorial by doronstudios on how to make the halation.
What do you think? Is there merit to this or is it a waste of time? Do you do this? Am I gay?
