Lookin for LowRes Cameras that mimic the look & feel of a Public Access Show from the late90s-early00s, one w/ HDMI so I can plug them into a Multicam Switcher for a Podcast type setup. Any good recommendations? This seems like the right board to ask, if not sorry. (Pic Unrelated)

get a panasonic camcorder and some good mics man maybe a powershot or some rx stuff not to say this rudely nobody will give you anything beyond the vlog bro's version of our "moody cool fx bro" and they won't watch it you are competing with studio grade with literally every podcast bro sadly but you should focus this intent on the content YOU COVER WRITE AND PROVIDE, as clear as possible with some mellow post for segments, maybe a scenes type thing just please always show friends this stuff privately don't be one of the zillion dudes with no need for green screen take your time and make your show great and bring that Kitsch and content and... maybe shots from thoise cameras. want to see you succeed and have fun anon a bunch of social media comments saying nicefx from people that don't really watch aren't going to be that way at all, in fact opposite especially if you ask about an episode and just get yapped

If you're a late bloomer still struggling with video making and filmmaking, ask questions here to get you through. Never too late to still be figuring things out. Remember this is a step below had it been a stupid questions thread to amateur territory.

/vid/ is 100% amateurs, you're just an actual sped so you think a 100 IQ sperg that can do more than turn on a camera and press the button is a professional genius (he is, but only compared to you - you can hardly operate a camera at all)

How the heck is this kind of image made? She appears to be swinging her head half way through the shot. It's not just a slow shutter. Because her whole face would be blurred. I think it's probably a rolling shutter effect from a phone filter, but I want to emulate it with a DSLR.

What are safe alternatives to 4chan for like-minded people for photography? Seeing of how I'm not tough enough for this site, are there sites I could go to that have photography, film, and filmmaking in it that have a supportive community, that enjoys Criterion Collection films. That is not a place that attempts to be a boot camp. A place where I can get the intelligence of the artists here, but try to supportive?

>>4406125 No. His total lack of mental capacity is ruining his pictures. They look worse than my spur of the moment pet snapshits but he carefully composes them and has taken several years to get to this point. It’s like a retard taking as long to learn to make instant microwave noodles as it takes a normal person to learn to cook a steak worthy of a michelin starred restaurant.
The best advice you can give this giant faggot is to leave 4chan and spend more time at therapy and special ed

I just had the lid off my A1 getting the fungus off the eyepiece lens only to find that all of the fungus is in fact between the prism and focusing screen objective lens. Cunts like half a days work to pull all the bullshit electronics out of the way to get it so I gave up and put it back together for now.

>>4406039 For fungus, simple alcohol will work just fine or lens cleaner, basically any liquid cleaner that will not damage coatings or glue. Naptha and lighter fluid is for removing grease and oil specifically from focus helicoids.
The prism has a coating on it of silver which is why it's reflective. Isopropyl 91% alcohol should be okay to clean it.

How did photographers for nat geo shoot slide film? did they carry external light meters? Did they bracket everything? did everyone use to bracket everything during the AE-1 and k1000 and kodachrome days? the only time I ever shot slide film I had some images exposed fine, but a decent number under exposed by less than a stop. something that isn't an issue on that camera with negative film and an issue I've only had with negative film when using disposable cameras or shooting in a dark concert with a point and shoot (and even then most of them that were in focus were fine). the thing annoying about that specific SLR is the meter displays in full stops and the shutter is in full stops, so to bracket I'd need to shoot manual so I can change the apertures by half a stop while maintaining shutter speed. And if I bracket I get 5 shots instead of 15. That is the one thing good about shooting digishit instead, I can just hold down the shutter and not care

What are you actually struggling with about exposure?
Zach
Quoted By:
>>4404498 Look anon, exposure is like learning how to read and write, it's all based on how you observe. How I learned to expose images was due to the luck I had that my grandparents had seeing issues like cataracts and being near-sighted. Film school is good in that you have a back and forth reaction with a professor, but the bad news is that they rush you and you don't really have time to learn it well through practicing. I made a D in photography and my professor advised I make as many photos as possible to get the hang of things, and so I did.

if you think it's bad now, you should look at digicam era vids. i ran into this when researching digicams and 2000s-2010s compacts. the few existing videos are around a decade old and lack any footage of the camera in action. it's mostly unboxing content. if you can find a review, it'll never have the most important detail about the camera, which is the operation/af speed. the closest you will find is a comparison to another camera in the same class. which is completely useless unless you happen to have a copy of that camera. mind boggling to forgo the greatest singular strength of the video format which is to show the device in use. instead, the majority of these old videos are trash and offer nothing you couldn't find in a spec sheet
