Lately I have seen a lot of studios offering this kind of service now. It looks a good way to make some extra money.
People use different kinds of setups and I'm trying to figure it out the best one for a better result. So far, I think a macro flash is the best option. Also, after the photo of the eye is taken, an intense photoshop edit is required to clean up the eye and ingest it in a template to achieve the final picture as this one.

I saw that message bout gear, that gear threads are not wanted, however I have nobody to ask so here's my question. I just bought Hoya HD MK2 protective filter for my canon RF 100-500 L because I am going to do photos in extreme conditions so I don't want my front lens to get dirty or scratch etc. What do you think about this filter is it worth it, or I should've bought Zeiss T* UV filter or other. Thanks in advance!

How was that softness of 1980s centerfolds shot on Ektachrome achieved? Was it lens itself or was dude using some filters on his large format camera?
