No, i don't think you follow me. Put a comment, i do have very few pics of what i truly like uploaded online, been procrastinating to hell and back on that regard but i do recall a bunch of them were with the Olympus. Quite tricky to use, its battery model gets fucked often.

My backup plan for when the olymus shits itself is a pair of working hp photosmart 435 i ordered on eBay last night. They take camera batteries instead. I really only like these kinds of cameras for the flash now. Much brighter than my phone. The price of these things are ridiculous. It's a trendy item for people who aren't photographers. They will eventually get sick of it and throw it away or hoard it and forget it. The Vietnamese facebook marketplace sellers are making huge profits. Rant over

It stresses me lol, i vaguely saw the image on my mind but was a pray n' spray in one of the first times i had a camera on my hand as a teenager, had a massive reflection from the car window and i haven't been able to replicate it even when i've been to the spot several times.
It's a random pic that was also a Photoshop miracle because it wasn't supposed to be keeper, i took a shot at deleting the reflection to see my skills 10 years later when i found it on an old drive. Yet a lot of people tell me about the B&W version.

Been ranting about it for a couple of years now too, got the Olympus at 20 dollars with everything included, it's still 30 to 35 in the States but the one i really wanted, the Olympus Verve which could be considered a mu/Stylus 500, is off the fucking charts for aesthetic reasons. Although i am now seeing it went down in price to "only" 70 dollars.

I am pretty bad at that, i've seen you used it in some pictures on daylight but i don't know when to pull it, that or the sun shines differently there. I keep seeing a similar edit style in the highlights but haven't sit down to analyze it well, you usually see reflections and textures together very nicely, looks like those fancy interior shots from the 70's and 80's.
Still i think the set you did at a pool party is the signature, blew my head out when i first saw it posted here, it's outrageous Y2K.

If you want an idea for a project you can choose something simple that you like an object, idea, or subject and try to take 6 unique pictures of whatever that thing is.

Consider doing studio shots as well as shots in the wild. Just have fun with it and see how they come out!

Contrast is pretty good; I don't know if I'd bother by adding sunflares or negative effects, the poor man suffered enough to make his movie, lets try to copy the intended parts and get in his head (Georgy Rerberg's head actually, he's responsible for a lot and I mean a lot lot)

Yours looks more like a Stalker cliché, which leans a bit towards the video game vibes rather than the movie's

I mean OM1 and OM3 have a BSI stacked sensors and better autofocus. The handheld high res mode in the OM3 and OM1ii have a 14bit raw setting which is literally the same as most full frame for static objects. There's no need to meltdown over this buddy. No ones forcing you to buy MFT if you don't want to. I was only saying the OM3 and Ricoh GRiii are pretty good for Fuji shooting without wasting money on Fuji. You really can't go wrong with any of those cameras though.

You are nuts, buddy. It has never worked like that. It's a gimmick that produces watercolor painting ass quality over 4 shot. Maybe if you're lucky with a middling setting, it's almost as good as aps-c with a shit lens, but it's never actually been as good as just using a better camera.

I'm just not a big fan of aps-c sensor size. If you are into pixel peeping you gonna notice worse IQ. But on Insta or even on my wall no one gonna see a difference. But the real chad move is to buy the X-E4 or soon X-E5 to have something really small for edc. Also don't use muh classic neg filter. ClassicChrome is the real thing and add some color saturation, increase blacks and that's it.

What is there to like? It's a generic car on a generic road in generic woods. What are you trying to tell? Why did you take this picture? Used fill flash and had to set exposure compensation to like -2 and the flash power itself to like -1.3 stops or something to preserve the ambiance. I assume it's just something you gotta figure out from practice. Half my pics ended up with the flash comin out too powerfully onto the fig

Flashs are great but generally the light they apply is very harsh. Indoors you can do a thing called bounce flash, where you basically full power it and aim it at a ceiling or adjacent wall.
If that's not an option or you are outdoors, look into buying a softbox. They're cheap and will it will help keep the flash from making the lighting look so artificial.
Play with your WB as well if you find the bright white look to be less appealing than a warm tone. You can also look into flash gels.

Sounds like a metering problem? Set metering to partial or spot if your subject (the figurine) only takes up a 1/2 or less than the frame; your camera is trying to meter for the background. Is the flash using E-TTL?

Also,
Why are you catboxing a JPEG? Even 6000x4000, 4:4:4 90JPEG compression photos fit under 5MB here.
